It is amazing that we can, with absolute legitimacy, sing of the wonderful cross, an instrument of torture and death. Imagine singing "wonderful guillotine, wonderful gun, wonderful electric chair!" But why should it make sense in such prosaic, human terms? This is our unique God we are talking about, who can transform anything - even death to life, even the Cross to an object of reconciliation and salvation. @Robin, thank you for sharing more of the mystery of Christ.
