How to build the Zumi AI car
This is the second video in a series where I will be building and exploring the Zumi: A python or block coded, AI powered self driving car.
I will be looking for educational applications of the Zumi and exploring its utility as a tool for Maker Learning.

How do Electric Motors work?
มุมมอง 233 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we explore how electric motors turn electric current into rotational kinetic energy. You will learn: - Why a current carrying wire produces a magnetic field and how we can determine the direction of this field - Why an increase in magnetic field strength, current or the length of a wire increases the force felt by the wire - How DC motors are designed to product continuous rotatio...

Displaying Pendulum Data with Processing

For todays #CSEdWeek2020 challenge I tinkered with Daniel Shiffman's pendulum code. I didn't manage to make a great deal, but I learned a LOT. Hat tip to natureofcode.com/ and th-cam.com/users/shiffman - two online places that if you've never visited, you most certainly want to check out. Here's where the code I used is located... Programming a physics question generator
มุมมอง 1014 ปีที่แล้ว
My third day of my #CSEdWeek2020 challenge. Kind of a rush job due to a busy day today - but I like what I've made. It will generate a random vector question for physics students and show them two perpendicular vectors, challenging them to give the magnitude of the resultant vector. If I had more time, I'd have them then submit the angle. Unfortunately there's no time but this is definitely a p...
Using Artificial Intelligence and Arduino to build... Something to do with masks!

For #CSEdWeek2020 Day 2 I've built a quick project to help people to always be mask ready! Check it out and let me know how you would improve it :) [Tinkercad schematic to follow]
Making a Speech-to-ASL Program using Natural Language Processing
มุมมอง 2114 ปีที่แล้ว
This video explains my first project for #CSEdWeek2020 - a Speech-to-ASL that uses natural language processing to turn your speech into a string, which the program then iterates through to display the correct ASL sign for each letter. I like it, but if you can improve it... Show me what you got! :)

Introducing MakerLearners.com - A website for sharing and curating projects for Maker Ed and PBL
มุมมอง 3184 ปีที่แล้ว
The website has finally hit what I'd like to call 'Version 1' - after what feels like thousands of iterations of making and learning and changing and revising, I've managed to build a website that I think other people will find useful. I'm really excited to hear comments and suggestions from people - any and all constructive comments will be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks for checking this out!
Make an impossible colour with an RGB LED

In this video we hook up a potentiometer to each RGB connection of an RGB LED. This allows us to experiment with colour by manually changing the intensities of the red, green and blue light.
How do electric circuits work?
มุมมอง 3664 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we begin with the concept of charge, before building towards an understanding of what we mean by electric current, voltage and resistance. By the end of this video you will have a general overview of the core properties of an electric circuit and you will be ready to explore the concepts that support Ohm's Law. This video was made for MakerLearners.com and will hopefully one day b...

Hi! Thank you for sharing this project. I try this example, but when I switch the upload mode the ML Extention are disableb. I can't make this work with arduino. How did you upload the code to Arduino? Thank you!

Which version of pictoblox are you using? Can you share with me that particular version? because the one I am using here is not compatible with the Arduino via stage mode, mine only interacts with upload mode & when I switch the upload mode the ML Extenstion can not be worked.

Hey! I received an email from Pictoblox informing me that there was a new version release which I would *have* to use. I've been busy on other projects so I haven't returned to Pictoblox since to explore the changes but I suspect this might be the issue. Give me a little time to explore this new version and I'll see if I need to update this video with a new method. Hopefully I can help soon!
