I have issues with crota not approaching the "plate" in the center. I use a smoke bomb dive to go invis then wait for him to come closer and dash away but he just basically says nah I'm all good and wont go further, OR I cant get the ads to stay in the center and they wanna follow me. Anything you think I could be doing wrong? I use rat king too but often crota slaps me as I'm securing a kill to go back invis.
only use smoke bomb in emergency/ to get away 2:20 but i tend to smoke bomb dive in to the pit now, when this problem happens of him not backing off.

So I dont raid all that often, but when you say "any of the weapons as adept," does that many any in the entire raid, or any of the 3 for the encounter?
@noelleonhart any weapon from the raid, not just the 3 from crota. Curently master checkpoints are not saving on Crota or Salvations Edge
Master checkpoints should now save again as of patch 8.1.5.2 (18 Dec 2024) Plus crota should be on rotation (Crotation) next reset

@@cracksf 1st completion of the week gives oversoul essence, and each character can get 1 drop of armour/weapon. Otherwise, just spoils and a small chance at oversoul essence, for farming outside of active week

One thing to note: make sure when you're attempting your finisher that you're sprinting. I spent literal hours trying this and only managed it 3 times. I made a point to sprint every single time and I've gotten it 5 times in a row.
after some testing i believe sprinting helps???
@@nath30 after not being able to knock him OOB one time until Saturday to getting patterns for the 3 legendary weapons he drops and 20 essence for nechrocasm - sprinting definitely helped me but it could just be me getting a better understanding of placement

@silverheals yer if he gos to the right he can be really stubborn. I stay away from the right, and if I need him back on the left, I hide on the left bridge.
