Just fyi, go inside the luggage, that is where the screws are. Unzip the base layer in the bottom of the suitcase. You'll see the place where the screws are, they are often covered by tape. The outside has rivets.

If you drive slowly , it was not difficult to control, snow tyres are compulsory when you using the expressway, apply brake slowly and if you car had ant-lock braking system(ABS) the car will not skid. I had drove in Germany , more difficult , it was left hand drive. If heavy snowing , it was more challenging, But drive slowly still can manage. Enjoy your trip driving in Japan.
