I loved your version of Ramble on Rose, and I love this. Your interpretations of GD material are outstanding, and I hope you will continue them. Something in your voice deeply recalls Patsy Cline for me. If she had lived longer, I have absolutely no doubt her path and the Dead's would have crossed and songs would have filled the air. I would dearly love for you to take a crack at the most orphaned of all Grateful Dead songs, a song that has never even been covered by anyone to my knowledge, nor ever performed or covered by the Dead or JGB. Written, words and music, by Donna Godchaux, and placed on the Jerry Garcia Band album "Cats Under the Stars," "Rain" is a gorgeous piece of music that deserves to be heard. Excellent re-make, Florianna! I hadn’t noticed this before today…strong, strong work. BTW, bit of trivia for you. I happened to communicate (within TH-cam) with Elliot Lurie, the writer and singer of this gem of a song, ~ two years ago. As I was once - long ago - a lead singer in a band, I was curious for many years about the excellent/well blended background vocals on Brandy. Well, believe it or not, Elliot confirmed what I had wondered about/suspected for so many years. Specifically, he (Elliot) was largely responsible for a good deal of the song’s back up vocals. Just thought I’d share that…with one who recreated a classic. 😊

Sounded wonderful. I knew the chords, I just wasn’t sure how to voice those few extra parts … like where the guitar is kinda ‘rising’ in between where he sings Stella Blue. Then also the timing on the bridge where you played the few chords faster. This helped me a lot. I learned something. Thank you!
