Oh I had to, that black ball was not moving. Also the finger holes were super tight and when I had to use my thumb for spares, I was pinching the ball. The green one was a lot better but still tight on the fingers.

That first game with the black ball was killer. Swore that ball had to be from the 70s. I had to wait for someone to stop using the green one so I could swipe it.

Still a solid 8...still counts.

All I had to use.

This place and Bowl-E-Drome (last week) I was good. The next two coming up, I was in pain. Nothing fit my hand.

@Greggys10Pins ouch. Last Monday night I got 594 series and using my new ball. It called Hammer Raw Solid and new shoes too. It helps me good throw

Unless it have changed, I believe Westland Bowl also has the same style masking units. But, it's been a long time since I was in that center.

Just using a house ball. I flew so the bowling balls stay behind and only the bowling shoes come with. Hardest thing is finding a house ball that fits my hand.

Yeah, I was trying to think of a red Sonic joke but I couldn't think of one.

I could have changed bowling balls, but I figured the lanes were too dry for the Summit Peak and my scores would have tanked big time.

I was kinda misled. I was led to believe that Via Linda was more like Bowlero Gilbert, boy was I very much led astray.

Depends on where you are, I always see pockets of AMF areas and Brunswick areas. Sam's Town is the ONLY center in all of Vegas that uses AMF, everyone else is Brunswick.

Just how that ball is. Haven't fully tamed it yet.

Yeah, I have friends who dislike me because I can hit that first board and still keep the ball on the lane.

Canadian 5 pin bowling used strings starting in 1969, it gradually took over free fall setters like the Brunswick A51 machine which was A2 based but was modified for 5pin bowling. Other Canadian free fall setters were , Strickland corporation, Double D Ltd and I think Mendez from Quebec made a setter. Mendez was bought out by AmF and their string pinsetters resemble the Mendez model ME 90 string pinsetters

I think it's because the AMF pinsetter is more open which allows the pins to bounce more. I don't know if it makes sense but I'm sticking to that.
