The audio mixing is a bit harsh on the ears. Added sound affects come in hard and loud while the music is already booming just to hear the game play. For editing practice, this is definitely a good start. Bring up the game audio to overlap the music enough to sound like typical game settings. Keep your voiceline setting to about average, and don't worry about horn spam. Added sound affects are best when they are just a bit louder than gameplay so they stick out, but don't blow out my eardrums in 5.1 surround sound. Try to draw overlays transparently, or at least not block 5/6ths of the center of the screen with a .jpeg That's about it, keep at it, keep enjoying everyone's favorite disaster of a cart racer, and I look forward to what ya toss together next.
