What is the Price of Freedom?
มุมมอง 176 หลายเดือนก่อน
On July 4th, Americans celebrate Independence day - a day of freedom! But too often we forget that freedom comes with a price tag that must be paid each generation. Time at the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy France reminds us of the price of freedom. Freedom is never free.

Cabellas version of tannerite I think. 😂
Tip #5 dont ride in the rain.
But then you miss riding!
Congratulations on completing the ride. Hopefully you got all your paperwork turned in and patiently waited for your certificate. The waiting for that first certificate can be much harder than doing the ride. IBA# 68779
Thank you for conveying this important message. I have a rule to NOT communicate in text with people. If they try to force a texting ONLY relationship, I drop them.
Do you communicate nothing via text, or just nothing critical? I do think those who want text only become challenging relationships
@@FlannelPhilosopher Texting has a purpose but find if the only way people want to communicate then the relationship dissipates. I have acquaintances that try to use me a thing to do things for them via text. Text messages can be endearing but most of the time there's no heart or soul.
Thanks for the ammo
Thanks for the tip offs
Hope it helps save you time and annoyance, as well as make significant contributions to those around me! :)
When I went to buy my first motorcycle, the Harley salesman asked what kind of riding I was going to do, when I stated long distance/cross country, with a straight face he said, "Son go buy yourself a Honda" too which I did. I now own a 2004 R1150GSA with a 7.9 gallon tank. It is an excellent motorcycle. Subscriber #24.
LOL. I went to a Harley dealer and he asked how much riding I did. I said "300-500 a day," thinking he was going to make fun of it for how low it was. Apparently, that was a very high number. :) Love those boxer engines with the massive fuel tank! 😄 Thanks for the subscribe!
Easy peasy BMW R100GS/PD, 9 gallon tank, solo saddle. K.C. to Flinstone, Md. that'll do/did it. 7/23/2012
Thats a great bike for that run! How long did the ride take you? Do you have a picture of the bike?
You rode on average about 55mph with doing 1000 miles in 18 hours. Once I have a motorcycle driving license and enough experience I’ll probably gonna give it a try as wel. Congrats on this accomplishment.
Thanks so much! I'd guess average speed was closer to 70, but gas stops and traffic definitely slowed down the average. I loved the experience. Let me know when you try it and what you think!
@@FlannelPhilosopher makes sense, also it’ll probably take a few years before I get to do that 😅.
@@Wannabearborist i'm only a few years into riding, so it may come faster than you expect! :)
We did about 540 miles on our BMW motorcycle in one day and that was plenty for me!
Thats quite a bit! Where did you go on that trip? Highway or backroads?
