Hey Corey, great quick video showing how simple some of the issues facing these old cameras can sometimes be. Like others commenting, I'd love to get a lead on the site you used to find the guide. I'm slowly (and frustratingly) trying to teach myself camera repair and there isn't a lot online for servicing Super 8 cameras, so I'd love to get access to more resources.

Hi Corey, I managed to get my lenses clean. However, now my shutter is stuck. I think it may be related to the fact, that I tried to use a wire release to keep the release shutter pressed. The situation is now that the shutter appears to be pressed and does not come out. It is not possible to change the timer setting from bulb to something else or or use the rewind lever. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? thanks and many regards, axel

Yo of course use the cheaper stock to test it. Try just using one canister and feed it into a 120 take up spool. I gave up using a spare can to take up the film cuz it feels like death when advancing. So i just only open it in a darkbag when im done. Thanks for furthering the cause of 35mm in 6x6 cameras lol😂

Found one at a thrift store for $2 and it came with the box, works fine but one of the rivets on the middle joint broke off so the lamp doesn’t hold position

Hello Corey, your video it's the only recent one about how to disassemble a Yashica Mat 124 G so was really excited when I watched it. I received my grandfather camera with really stuck shutter speed dial, I can only change from Bulb to 1/125, and the open and closing mechanism needs cleaning and lubrication like the camera in the video. I hope that you can give some tips about cleaning and lubricating the internal shutter system and dials that's selects the shutter speeds, because I suspect that the dial it's stuck because the lubricant has dried over time. I really want to send to some repair technician but all in my country are retired or they passed away. So I will try to do the repair by myself. Thanks in advance and your video was helpful and informative about the dissasembly.
