DUDE!! That sounds amazing! Is that your toy? Was that in IL or MI?
Thank you! Not my toy but I did build it for a great friend of mine who gave me the opportunity. Such an amazing car. It sounds wild in person, pretty deep and hella loud! There is a walk around video of this car on my channel I believe. This was in 2013, I changed some TH-cam settings that made this video pop up like it’s a new one haha.
@@avmaviator LOL! I thought it was a new video. And that's so cool.....
Exact video I’ve been looking for. Thanks for the sound clip.
My pleasure. I have been wanting to make drive by and driving videos, I’ll try to do that soon.
Dude! Was that you? Were those yours boys? And wife? Was that the track you make in Galien?
That was not me but my French friend Charles. (It’s my bike though). The other people were other friends riding with us, and yes it’s our track in MI 😊. I’ll be uploading a version of myself riding soon
@@avmaviator Awesome! And awesome track....
The best ever built Ford Cobras out there by a Country Mile. Nothing comes close 2 these Babies
I know you've heard this but enjoy your kids while they're young! It goes FAST!!
It sounds so cool
Hi Arnaud, it's been a long time ! :-) chouettes vacances et jolie famille !
Great vacay! My boys would have complained the entire time. If it wasn't an amusement park, they would complain. We sold our house in IL and live 100% in Michigan. Also, both boys are at Western and we're empty nesters. Great video and I hope all is well.....
That is one sweeeet ride. $$$$$$
This is the most perfect sound I have heard with headers and the stock bi-modal mufflers, would you be able to message me the part numbers you used, I want this setup
also did you have to weld in the Xpipe?
Thanks! The X-force x pipe came as one piece from the cats to do the middle of the car. I welded connectors from there to the axle backs. Which part number are you looking for? The actual headers?
@@avmaviator Hey thanks for messaging back, I was looking for the Xpipe part number, all I could find was the whole Xforce exhaust and not just the mid section. I would really like to do catted headers then that Xpipe you have, after the welds is it to the stock piping into the bi modals? cause I know most kits are 3inch, Thanks
@@avmaviator Also did you order the stainless works headers in factory connection or performance connection?
@@floriangeyer3160 I just looked as well and can't find that mid section... To be honest I bought it from a shop (Koza). I have the performance connection to that x-force mid but if you were to do it (without the resonated mid), I would go with the factory connection. I weld a lot and I fabbed up a connector from the mid to the bi modals. I have to go from 3" to 2.25", which is the factory pipe sizing. The factory connection will do that as well towards the back of the car I'm not sure if they don't offer that mid anymore or it's listed under something else. I have been thinking of taking the mid pipe out to see how it sounds (and put v-bands on it so I can swap it out easily). Sorry I can't help with the mid. I do know some people have use a magnaflo resonator in that same spot with great results
Good Lord! It like l’m having a near death experience, watching and hearing that engine!
Sounds like MONEY
"Beauty & The Beast" How many horses under the hood?
About 600 :)
My 97 stock t-bird is much faster. It has wheels.
And you're going to replace that with a Tesla? Good luck.........
hi, do you still have this car? I would be interested in purchasing the engine and transmission from you if you are going to replace it for your build. Hope to hear from you.
What are gonna with that? Put it in your lexus?
@@amarnaipaul6790 for dad you idiot.
..i know everything
where is the engine number?
Does your car actually sound quieter above 3.5k rpm? I have the full stainless works system with cats and its surprisingly quiet at WoT. Almost quieter than stock
At WOT it is pretty loud, significantly louder than stock. It is not as loud as my friend’s ARH (American racing headers) system as it mine has the resonated x pipe but it still sounds great. I might take the cats out later on but for right now I’ll keep them. I do know that without cats it is a lot more raspy. Do you have the Stainless mufflers as well? That might be the difference
👍👍great car's.
What cam spec are you running? Specifically, what LSA? I’m building similar and have been advised no narrower than 112.
Sorry for the delay, I had to get home to look at the spec sheet as I wasn't 100% sure of the LSA. I just looked and it has a 112 LSA. It's a CompCams cam, 234 on the intake, 240 on the exhaust duration. It's a custom grind for a Ford FE. I can give you more info if you're interested.
@@avmaviator That would be very helpful. I'm building a 427 side oiler with Trickflow Powerport 175 heads and a hydraulic roller set up. I will be running an Inglese 8 stack EFI system on a Holley ECU. Mostly street use 2 - 4.5k rpm so I want low down torque. I also lust after that great sound though. I'd really appreciate it if you could give me your detailed cam spec. Best regards
Did you get email?
When cruising in tour mode, can you tell that you have headers? In other words, would my wife know I have them lol?
I would say no as I just asked my wife haha. In tour it is much quieter than when I had a cat less (secondary cats removed) mid pipe, with the valves open
@@avmaviator LOL perfect answer. Thanks much!
Do you have cats?
High flow cats yes. Without cats it is too raspy for me
Sounds good, did you go with the magnaflow resonated x-pipe? Is that what you mean when you say “force resonated x pipe”? Thanks
It’s actually an Xforce resonated x-pipe. I was wondering how it was going to sound and it is nice and deep. It is quieter than other xpipes for sure
Thanks, yes it sounds great, more of a low deeer tone w/headers, I like it!
@@OneDayofFame whered you pick up the x pipe from? Also do those fit right up to stock bimodal?
Sounds MEAN!! I have to get my TA exhaust leak fixed.....
Thanks! Sounds even better in real life ;)
avmaviator I bet!
Why didn't you film the start of the engine? 🤦♂️
Sweet, must be nice to create any engine to your liking.Guess you could be considered an engine god.
holy shit, I'm very horny watching that car
what did u do to solve this? I got the same Problem
I got a new one. They are cheap enough but I was disappointed/frustrated that it did not last that long. Other Tusk products have been good though
I saw some idiot on lubetube building a cammer out of a real cobra.breaks my heart.
Nice!
How is the drive ability? I have a friend who has a 351 in his and says that it is more than enough power. He said he can't imagine a 427 being steerable.
that t shirt screems: please drop me
what size are the exhaust tips
heck of an engine stand !!
Wow that is a work of art. Great job!
Car looks great ! Keep up the good work and load lots off vids please
I never understood why people think the cobra was such a supposed bad ass car. If you are taller than 5'4" they are uncomfortable as fuck. They look like a convertible bug with a v-8. So of coarse it was fast.
I'm 6'1" and I fit totally fine in there. All depends on the seat you are using.
George,You obviously speak from experience....oh, wait, no you don't. I'm 6'2", and fit fine in mine. Other than ringing ears, I have no problem driving for 3-4 hours in a row. Not bad at all.
+George Owen Im 6"5 and i fit just fine in mine, you probably tried an early car they extended the later cars 2 inches so it has more space. As for a bad ass car it holds tons off records and build right they will kill supercars for way less money plus you have a classic AND you can build it your self in your own garage, it doesn't get more bad ass than that in my opinion.......
hight quality!!
Dream car very nice
Only thing missing is Smiths Gauges
Kirks are kings in the Cobra replica world. Do u still own it?
Thanks! Car is still running great with quite a few miles on it :)
Kirkham's are no longer replicas, Carol Shelby has now signed off that they are real Cobras (and he get a cut). Still in my opinion its not an original but a beautiful car anyway
Rob Horsley lol, carroll shelby signed off from the grave, sir. Everybody knows real Cobra were made in the 60s
Danny Max Totally agree with you there. Still probably the closest ill ever be able to afford.
Rob Horsley yep, better than the factory five cobras! $120K buys u a nice alum body Cobra!
ONE prob. Not MY shop !!
Love Poland story, sheet Alm. Fab.
That's a great looking engine!
I can see 2 MAJOR problems, 1 The Steering Shaft is on the wrong bloody side and it AINT in my Garage !! Very Tastey
Beautiful.........one question. Where did you get those valve covers?
Thanks a lot!
Thank you!
That thing is sexy as hell! =)
Cobra done right
