Baby Ace View From Tailwheel 5.30.21
มุมมอง 993 ปีที่แล้ว
Cool view from a gopro mounted on the tailwheel leaf spring... taxi, takeoff, a bit of putzing around over the farmland, a low pass between some tress, and then two wheel landings and one stall landing. I sure do like this view! The little flapping thing on the right side is a rubber band that's attached to a small pull-out piece of tubing that can be used to lift the tail for ground maneuverin...
50 second video of my Baby Ace Landing at ASW on 5.23.21
มุมมอง 1503 ปีที่แล้ว
Here are some details I really enjoy in this scene: the airplane shadow in the field as I turn base-to-final, the prop looking 'normal' because I use a dark polarizing filter on the gopro to force to aperture to open more (I hate the freaky props in videos!), the car on the road that passes almost right under me, the shadow in the morning sun on the runway before touchdown, and the fact that I ...
Baby Ace 5.8.21 Windshield Check
มุมมอง 703 ปีที่แล้ว
I recently made and installed a .093 polycarbonate windshield, and I was giving it a bit of a flex test while flying... all is good : )
I love this Baby Ace!

An almost real time video of starting the Baby Ace and two takeoffs and landings - 4.24.21.
My first wheel landing in the Baby Ace, and without a windshield
มุมมอง 2143 ปีที่แล้ว
I removed the old cracked n scratched acrylic windshield from this Baby Ace I bought recently (it was built in 1993) and I thought I'd see what it's like flying it without the windshield. I decided to make it my first wheel landing in it too... it's only the 6th landing since I bought it, and I have almost 4 hours in it now. LOVE this airplane!
Baby Ace keep-it-down-low departure

Visited a friend's grass runway by his home and had a little fun on departure.

A quick look from start to finish of the restoration process.
1959 Piper Super Cub stall landing in the grass
มุมมอง 4796 ปีที่แล้ว
Currently 4 hours into flying this Super Cub since I completely restored it, and I love landing on the grass! Pretty cool when you can see the tires kicking up loose grass clippings well before you see it finally start turning : )

Amazing job, congrats!! i like how you did the bootcowl in the bottom to be removable, great improvement to work on the floorboard, clever idea to do!
You did a fantastic job with this restoration. Your brother is a very lucky man.
Awesome job 😎😎👍
I bow before you. Love what you have done.
Thanks
Thanks
Beautiful landings
Great work, beautiful Piper 😍
What is the air speed cruise, with the Ace?
Great looking and flying Baby Ace. Really like your tailwheel I saw in one of yother video's. I just purchased my second Ace here after thirty years from the first one. It's a model D and has a c85 in it. Keep your video's going, really enjoy them.
Nothing beats a Baby Ace for fun. My dad started building a D model in the early '60's. It flew in 1977 and provided us with much fun till he sold it in 1985. My last adventure was delivering it from Kansas City to Bristol,TN. I follow the facebook page and would love to build one but not sure my arthritis would allow me to climb in and out. You said it in the video, no reason to sell it because it won't make you rich but you would be giving up one of the funnest flying toys imaginable. Last winter I built a set of wing ribs off my dad's original rib jig, not giving up yet.
Nice Baby Ace Martt ... my Baby Ace that I had years ago also had the sharp leading edge. The Ace I have now has both upper and lower leading edge covered in aluminum with out the sharpe edge. Fly's the same as the old one. They are fun airplanes.
interesting aeronautics
I ordered one yesterday can't wait to have it
Great video! Love the Baby Ace. Flown one for years.
You are far away from reviewer
It looks and sounds like a beautiful well mannered aircraft. Beautiful condition, and a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing, with us arm chair pilots. 👍
Great video describing your experience using this watch.
Was taking a close look at this watch... But inability to pair external HRM was a deal breaker. 🤷🏻👎
Me too.
I ordered one a few weeks ago. I love you. I haven’t wore my Apple Watch 7 since.
Do you know how to upload GPX maps to your watch? Even when they are thrown on the phone, ZEPP does not search for them, if I use other programs such as total commander, which offers other applications to open the GPX file, ZEPP is not there.
I Have had one for a month the strape sucks and you can't change it.Blood pressure and breathing apps do not work.Tracking is still spotty after the updates. The battery life is good
I've had mine over a month and the strap still feels perfect to me, it's extremely comfortable. This watch doesn't do blood pressure, and my heart rate and blood oxygen work great. For the money, I think it's an awesome watch, especially because it looks amazing.
Trailer park trailers tels that we are in U.S.A. but wether says its Engeland.
How was it w/o the windshield?
It was fine, just very windy!
Hello I have a problem. I updated my T Rex2 yesterday. Since then, it doesn't record my calories. Do you know what the problem is? It only measures my calories when I activate it to train, in normal mode everything is the same.
Good review! How find the watch faces of trex 2 ?
nice tie down idea
What is this watch-face called?
RZ209
Just ordered
Can you please giveaway this ? I really need one
you really need one?
looks really nice, thanks for sharing//all the best troutbumandsam
Is it easier to land than a cub. Whats the top speed and cruising speed
Slow and slower.
Notice how you never see the ultralight "Pilots" do a run up ? !!
3:55 mag check. 4:07 carb heat check. Probably about all the A65 needs for a run up.
Very nice name is Mario I have just purchased one myself trying to get it Ready to fly great videos
Martt, Beautiful restoration of a "survivor" A-Model. Thank you for keeping it original!
Beautiful Baby Ace Martt! Just found your channel. Great walk around of your aircraft as well. I sure miss you AirPigz website :(
Well done, Sir! I'm neck-deep in a similar project with a 1971 M-4 220C Maule. My goal is to have mine turn out as nice as yours did. The Cub (65HP) was the first aircraft I ever took a lesson in ... Love 'em. Skal, ^v^
Beautiful job..
Boy for now leaving the ground you sure had my attention all the way through the video. If they had new Baby Ace showrooms this would be the perfect sales video! Now I want one.
wow...just wow!
Congratulations on an excellent job! This is the first report / feedback I have read on the Stewart covering system.
Its nearly as old as me l could also do with a new paint job ...thanks for the information on the hopper never knew that now will looking for it on PA18 this side of the pond
The doors are now control surfaces lol.
Wow!
Amazing how overpriced cubs are for what they are.
Buenos días la venden, gracias
Smooth, looks really nice. Interested in building the two seater. Be nice if the two seater had the front and back controls. Do you know if it does?
Your brother is a lucky man. Nice job, well done. Thanks for sharing.
Where's the T/O?
