I love this version too. There are several other versions where the singers can't say "you" instead of "ya". One comment tried to say they're singing "ya" to make it rhyme with "hallelujah". Can you believe it???

I just heard this song on the golf coverage of the open championship because it's in caledonian Scotland it's so touching and haunting? I recognised the voice and thought it was amy McDonald straight away she is underrated as an artist imo 😁😁

Caledonia was my father"s favorite song. We would often listen to Caledonia while we shared a dram, sailing the Great Lakes in the USA. He was a proud Scot by birth. Slainte mhath! Thank you Ms. MacDonald for your music.

My wee brother just died and I am devastated, he was proudly Scottish as am I and hearing this song is soothing to my soul. I have to believe the wee man is in heaven and, by Christ, it looks just like Scotland, the most beautiful and welcoming country on God's green earth. To Amy and Dougie for such a gift. God Bless both of you! I love Scotland and I was born a Scotsman and will die a Scotsman regardless of us being taken to America!

Absolutely adore this version, I loved Amy’s first album, but am unfamiliar with her other work. I love Frankie Miller’s version of this song also.

I've been a Dougie fan for years. You gave it a good touch. It was a very nice cover and would have drawn me to it even if I hadn't heard the original.

Hard to beat Dolores Keane's version.

It's such a pity that Amy does not sing the whole song. There is no mistaken her accent, she has a lovely uncompromising way of performing.
