Besides being a character from a family friendly movie, Lotso fits really well as a replacement for Does Bad Things Guy, and he doesn't even need slasher elements to be sinister or intimidating. He's essentially a dark reflection of Woody, both being bitter and jealous about getting replaced by a new toy. Whilst Woody eventually grew over his envy for Buzz and befriended him, Lotso, as an attempt to make up for his loss of control, went into Sunnyside and took over it with an iron fist, torturing dozens of innocent toys for god knows how long. Weeks? Months? YEARS?! All in all he's a cruel, manipulative, irredeemable sociopath who deserves to die.
