    Thanks for the video and I think it's a good starting point. Things I would not pack from her list: - No PJs - sleep in base layer - 2 sets of underwear vs one for each day - hydration pack vs water bottle (it's lighter) - No swim suit (swim in underwear if needed) - No journal, map or selfie stick (just use your phone for these things). - no hand warmers (you're sleeping in a tent) - No towel (get it from the Refugio) 🙏

    Hello Danielle. I came across your video. My friend and I will be leaving in 10 days to hike the W trek. Your video was so helpful. I know you made it 6 years ago, but it's still useful. I especially wanted to mention that I bought myself a back brace, and walked 5 miles with my 18 lb. pack today, and I had no back pain. So I bless your name, because I am quite sure that I will have a much better experience in Patagonia because of your video. I hope you're having lots of wonderful adventures. This is Catherine from Michigan.

    AWESOME Adventure!!! Thanks for sharing. I'm getting ready to hike the "W" this December (in a month from now). Thanks for the tips and enthusiasm. I'll shop for my hiking boots this weekend. I usually take a ton of pics, but not so much video. However, I am inspired by yours. How do you edit and put it all together so it looks so cool? any edit software recommendations is appreciated. All i have is my phone to take pics and videos. ~izy

    Hey dumb dumb you should not ride on elephants. It is cruel and they have to beat and break the elephants spirit before getting a human on it. You did no research otherwise you would talk about riding an elephant.

    theres no such thing as an ethical place that lets you ride elephants :( please educate yourself on the horrible effect it has on their spines to be ridden. they arent made for that and there's nothing ethical about it, no matter what they told you

    Hey Danielle, thanks for the video. Questions... in the month of December, did you actually use all of your layers? (did it rain?) (did you use your down jacket + fleece?). thanks for your help!

      @littleblackdressmusical381 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did use all my layers! Especially in the early morning and evening it got very cold. But in the day I was wearing shorts and a tank!

    • @danielletrz
      @danielletrz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I used all layers. Sometimes I wore shorts sometimes I had to wear hats and gloves- esp at night! It was literally all 4 seasons. It rained, snowed, was hot, and cool so layers layers layers!

    Danielle, hello... it will be my first time in life to use a back bag... is an osprey 55 L. I’m going to travel to the north of Brazil , so it’s warm weather... maybe rain some day, I don’t know... I haven’t been there. The thing is as I don’t have experience on how to pack a bag pack..... could you help me ? Please.. I need to carry sun block, a towel, and sandals... All these is a bit heavy and in some videos referring on how to pack..... they say the heavy things must be close to the spine column .... I pu all my clothes inside a plastic bag and I took the air so it’s very thin. I carry also a small soap to wash my clothes... we are going 14 days .... it’s for me the first time I go to beaches for long time....could you help me please... where to put the things inside the bag. I feel it too heavy and I have not pain in my back .... maybe is not for me? ... but it must, cos in November I will travel to Atacama desert... and in that place I think a luggage is not comfortable.... well, sorry for bothering you.. and thanks a lot

    • @danielletrz
      @danielletrz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Beatriz! You will be fine and will have the best time! Especially if you have pack problems I highly recommend a backtrace and IBprofen! I used small ziplock bags to make things smaller and waterproof. Yes heavier things on the bottom. If you have a good backpack, use the straps to adjust to make it more comfortable for you! Hope that helps and have a wonderful trip!!!

    Torres del panyeh! Great video! Me and my buddy are leaving in a few days. We're kinda winging the torres del panyeh art of our trip because none of the guides we looked at said we needed to book campsites online way in advance. But we spoke to some people who had the same problem and they just gave it a shot and the camps accommodated them.

    Thanks for the tips. I'm hoping to do the w trek in the spring (feb-March). Did you bring actual luggage? Or just your back pack? Where do people keep their luggage during their hike? I'm debating doing that and packing lighter and staying at the shelters vs just bringing a backpacking pack 65L and just carrying everything (tent/cooking/sleeping bag etc) for the hike and the rest of the trip. I'm used to trips in the US where you just keep stuff in the rental car or hotel. I did a trek in Peru but they take care of everything for you. So I've never really done a trip like this. Oh did you do the hike without a guide?

    • @danielletrz
      @danielletrz 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We hiked without a guide! And honestly, the trails are so well kept that its very easy to do without one. As for packing, Less is more always! Because we were doing more of Chile ( Santiago and Valparaiso after) we left our other bag in the hostel in Puerto Natales and just took our backpacks! Hope you have an amazing trip!
