The Bat and the Butterfly is a two movement work written for Violin and Viola duet Aperture Duo in February of 2023. This recording is from a live performance on February 20th of 2023. The Bat is a musical representation of anxiety and the feeling of a panic attack, whereas the Butterfly is the feeling of relief and lingering dread that comes after.
