We came. We hiked. We ate. And we love sharing our vacation travel adventures and tips with others. We specialize in budget travel, cheap airfare, and unique destinations.
Country count as of December 2024:
Jessica: 43
Nathan: 33
We live in Ohio in the United States. This channel began when created video updates to send to our friends and family when we lived in Guatemala in 2014. Beginning with our 10th Anniversary trip to Spain, France, and Morocco in 2018, Nathan got the bug to start making travel videos. Jessica has yet to get the bug, but she has a love of travel and is very patient with Nathan. :) We've been getting better little by little, and we hope to continue doing so. Thank you for stopping by our channel!

We went into the heart of the Þríhnúkar (or Three Peak) volcano. According to the website InsideTheVolcano.com, this is the only accesible lava chamber on earth! Pretty exciting. It was an amazing and we can't wait to share it with you. We highly recomment the Inside the Volcano tour. They were well organized and did a great job. Who has the BEST Pastéis de Nata in Lisbon?
Thank you for making this and the other videos of your travels. Not many people make it to Berlin even though it is a fascinating city, especially its history. I visited it there before the wall came down and glad to see it is still very vibrant. Cheers!
Thank you for watching. We enjoyed our time in Berlin.
Got some serious travel inspo from this, especially loved the shots of Lake Cuomo!
That's great! We're glad you enjoyed it. Lake Como was gorgeous.
I'm glad that you took the original plain of everything you ate without utella or other junk on it We often see this differently, natural is often simply the tastiest sorry about your drone
I agree it’s best to start with the plain option to see what it really tastes like. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a great time despite all the misfortunes. Good food makes up for a lot.
Indeed it was. Sometimes the misfortunes make for the best memories.
This was such a lovely watch, I felt like I was there with you! Also, love that you named your drone! haha. I'm excited for the rest of the series. so cool to meet you guys last week!
Epic!!
Thanks for watching!
I got through the tasting tests fairly easy but the chili part was painful
Those were no joke! Thanks for watching!

I just got done with clouds rest and I’m planning on half dome for my next big hike hopefully next year or the year after I have to prepare tho
Nice! Clouds Rest was our backup hike if we didn't get the permit for Half Dome. I think they are similar in difficulty.
Wow que hermoso se ven esos lugares ❤
straight forward
Amazing
Thanks!
Imagine an earthquake going off at half way point of Your trip up.
Jess, tell us how you packed for 10 days in a backpack!?
My wife and I are doing this tomorrow. It's on HER bucketlist. I hate heights. As I'm watching this video, I turned to her and asked, "Tell me again why you want to do this?"
I hope you BOTH enjoy it. It is an amazing experience
How did it go on Half Dome?
@ShawAdventuresTH-cam my wife had an absolute blast! Watching her conquer it was a joy. I also completed the cables, I was definitely scared but you were right it was an amazing experience 🙏🏼
Thanks for showing me, what never to do in my life😅
Fabrica at number 1 for me . Nata Sweet Nata is number 2 in Porto. I don’t understand why you accepted so many cold Natas? I was never sold a cold one ever while in Portugal.
Nice! We didn't try Nata Sweet Nata. If we are ever there again we will def go! What was the secret to not getting cold Natas? Do you have to request them to be warmed in certain places? Did they not know who we are!!?!?!?!? ;)
Still blows my mind that they don't require people to wear gloves at minimum. And definitely carabiners. Make it make sense lol
They do recommend gloves. I tried using mine, but I felt more secure without them. I think I had the wrong kind of gloves.
Loved the video, now i have to visit this place :D
You should!
That’ll be a hard no for me!!!
This has "fuck that" written all over it
Thanks for fliming it so I dont have to do it .
People have been doing this without a harness? Hikers at any levels of expertise, even novices??? Wtf. How? I'm surprised we don't hear tragic falls all the time!
Interested in the rest of this amazing trip? Watch the recap here: th-cam.com/video/Mz4ENLvV1HE/w-d-xo.html
Going up is doable but it's the going down that would petrify me...
Dumb shit just would ya just Look at it or something..💯😒👍🏻
I wouldn't do that who's there to catch you if you slip?...😮
Terrifying. I want to try this at some point in my life.
That's the spirit! :) It is an amazing experience. Thanks for watching!
First and foremost; you have a right to kill yourself in a Wilderness/ outdoor activity doing risky activities; just don't kill other innocent people or damage the environment; every activity doesn't have to be as safe as it possibly could be.
And what happens if you slip and fall? You die. Cool. No thanks!
Dumb
No safety harness. 🤦🏼♂️
But, Why do this??
Really don't understand why people don't wear a simple harness for this
Every person should be locked on. It should be required to wear a guardian fall, or something like it. JMO
Looks totally idiotic to not be strapped on, surprised no one seems to use a harness here, what if you get tired.
I don't get why people like this
What if the top person slips?
I don’t believe you, the fastest runner or the quickest climber could not do that in 60 seconds
looks safe........NOT
People do this on a keto diet and fall off.
People do this on a fruit diet and fall off.
Me and two friends went up in 1978. It was like climbing up a basketball because you could only see so far ahead due to the curvature. Going down was worse but as long as you kept a good grip on the cables you were ok.
This really helps me visualize what the 'hike' really is.
They could totally make this climb safer. Add more steps at least. Require people bring an attachment to the cable as they climb. Something!
Dude! You walking on the edge scared me 😮.
We need that descent in 60 secs
Thanks for showing how it's done! If you don't have gear don't ascend the cables, period!
Definitely wouldn’t want to be up there when an earthquake hits!
It looks like a place where people aren't supposed to be.
Does anyone know how deep those poles are rooted into the rock? I’ve tried to find the answer but have come up short. I am very curious 🤔
Inquiring minds want to know.
