No Lumber Left Behind
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 22 ต.ค. 2013
I believe any piece of wood can be turned into something useful. Many things you see on my videos are literally the first time I try something. I am working to be a woodworker, creator, and artist. Thanks for joining me on my journey!

Is Reclaiming Wood from Modern Furniture STUPID?
What is modern furniture made out of? Can the wood from it be reclaimed to make woodworking projects? I set out to reclaim the wood from this modern furniture. Will it be worth it?

Does a $4 Rotary Tool work for Sign Making?
มุมมอง 5733 หลายเดือนก่อน
I picked up this rotary tool from Harbor Freight a while back and finally decided to test it to make a oak sign. I do not have a Dremmel to compare it to. Fire and Epoxy Waterfall Table - Edited, no commentary
มุมมอง 404 หลายเดือนก่อน
I create a DIY epoxy and oak double waterfall coffee table by burning and shaping the single piece of oak hardwood. This is the first waterfall coffee table I have made, and I definitely learn some lessons and have some fun with my kids along the way. Is ordering from TEMU worth it?
มุมมอง 1.3K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
I gave in and ordered TEMU for the first time because I needed some simple tools for the shop. I got three free items and they should have paid me to take them because they are useless. I don't think TEMU is a total scam, but they do use very sus techniques to get you to buy worthless items. Please ask me questions in the comments and I'll be happy to get back to you. Starting with a work bench and a giant mess
Now even though I'm married with a house I have an excuse to get furniture off the side of the road again.
*"The chair is put together with wood." It's not scrap wood until you destroy the chair 😂
Actually it was parts and pieces from several different wood species and different thicknesses so it was definitely made from scrap wood
Tell me you know nothing about lumber without telling me. Junk wood and using scraps to build with are two diff things. This is deff built with scrap wood brotha
The secondary wood is scrap primary wood of too poor quality to use in visible areas. So, yeah, not good for much unless you have a fireplace.
And soooo many staples
Took a couch apart once and turned it into raised beds and a trellis. Then put the pieces into my household trash a little at a time. Kept me from having to pay to take a large piece of furniture to the dump (about $80 in my area). Did it with a box spring, too. Turned that into a big trellis for morning glories with a misting feature. So cool in the summer.❤
Good ideas!
And thats on high end furniture
Yes, I didn't think it would be so awful
Hey it cut off at the end … The answer to your questions???
Just put it in the dump

if the furniture is old it is worth the trouble.
I agree
😐
Is reclaimed wood worth this?
Great looking table, it turned out well. If I’ve leant one thing with taking up woodworking it’s that each project takes a lot longer than you ever thought possible.
Thanks! Work-life-woodworking balance is very tough for sure.
Thanks for watching! This was a quick test to see how this thing works. It is worth $4 if you can't get a Dremmel and have some simple stuff to do.
only true no lumber left behind fans can like this comment 👇
I liked it, does that count?
A Star wars dishwasher indicator.
Indeed!
A coaster?
Not quite, good guess though
I find it hard to believe anybody would spend money on something so simple you could make it themselves.
I actually make most of the jigs I need but sometimes it is worth picking something up to make life easier
Played 10 bucks , to cut a 2 cent piece of wood
It's not about this specific piece of wood it is about the process for projects moving forward.
Just consider the source of those magnets!
You can embed those little magnets into doors and lids to either keep them closed or even interchangeable appliques.
Good idea!
Are the squares actually square?
Yes, they are square and work for what I need.
Have to always look at the dimensions
Very true
You get what you pay for with Temu, some stuff is crap and some is surprisingly good but if you’re picky what you buy you can get a good deal. I’m happy buying from them, but I’m also very careful doing my research before placing an order.
I agree 💯%
Buyer beware, take your time when ordering on TEMU. Thanks for watching!
honestly it’s too pretty NOT to use
This one is now my main mallet
Yes! In fact making and using pretty tools is a part of the satisfaction of woodwork.
💯
It's too pretty to use
I see what ya did there
Stop pretending to be an English teacher, anc stick to your woodworking.
I wouldn't buy the items. I'd make it myself thank you.
That’s cool. Make some videos in the process so we can see the progress
The linked video shows the process.
This is a comment that is heard a lot when trying to sell items at street fairs /booths
@NoLumberLeftBehind not being rude, it's just I can build furniture at same or better quality than buying, for cheaper lol. Been doing it for years, it's about to pay off too, just bought a house and need to fill it lol
I totally agree. Make it yourself if possible.
😂😂😂

I agree. Thank you
I use a belt sander like that to carve derby canes. I make the rough shape, then I use a palm sander to refine the shape
It's the best way to put shape into a piece, I have 3 different styles and gives options for different curves over different materials.
Saw delta and thought it was a weed press lol
Wrong hobby but still could be your favorite tool
The shaping on the handles was a lovely touch, great video! 🪵
Thanks! The rest of them get even better.
Cool looking mallets. The blue resin looked good. 👍
Thanks! I can't wait to get the next video done to show all of them.
Thanks for watching!
You sound like Mr. Miyagi😂
Woodworking sometimes seems like a lot of "UP - DOWN"
That’s nice
Thanks for watching!
Great project. There are a lot of processes on this build. It looks great. Well done.
Yes indeed, thank you.
Thanks for watching! Have you ever built something this weird? Be sure to check the video description for links and other referenced videos.
Great workshop studio. It looks great. 👍
Thank you! I keep adding some stuff to the wall. Now I just gotta get the concrete covered so it doesn't look like a bomb shelter.
You don't need one, but it definitely helps. Plus there are a ton of really budget friendly ones out there.
I still have a pretty long list of tools I want and it is on there somewhere 🙂
@@NoLumberLeftBehind Honestly, you can pick them up really cheap. I've been using them for about 10 years now, alongside a good selection of Veritas modern traditional saws. For cutting plugs or flush cutting to a face surface, the Japanese saws are brilliant. I still prefer the rigid stability of traditional saws for dovetails and tennon cuts though.
you have been chosen by the algorithm
@aglimpseinside has designed an awesome holder that puts that sander inverted so you can hold your wood pieces to it and use both hands. Much better solution and faster with multiple pieces
I don't really spend money on gadgets, just try to mostly figure things out with what I have.
@@NoLumberLeftBehind not a gadget just a smart invention made in a wood shop to fix that problem cheap and get a lot done. Look into it you might be surprised and get to make a better video with better advice. Now you know
@@NoLumberLeftBehind he's also a really cool guy and you might like kids woodworking videos. He also provides the stl file so you can build your own model of it.
Looks great!
Thank you. You must in fact be quite cool to have liked the video.
