Tree cutting, dead alder, controlling the fall.
Everybody needs one of these when cutting down a tree 🤔

Thanks for showing where the clip on heat protector snaps on the inner wrap bar by the cylinder head, above the clutch cover.
Hey man they still alive?!
love your Viszla snoopin around the pool
Vertical plunge cute leaving 1.5 inch of holding wood. Straps can fail and go flying
I agree, it's impossible to know the fulcrum point of a barber chairs vertical split once you release tension on the back cut. It can put leverage force on the strap that's 10-20 times more weight than the trunk weight above the fulcrum point.
Great idea!
Well is it still working
It’s still working well! I’ll try to make a follow up video this fall. Heat exchange is still 9-10°f . Gaining roughly 3° a day when used.
Copper cost 800.00
Good to know because a part of me wishes I would have bought a full wrap handle for my 500i. At least I know I could switch it up. Thanks for the video!
Amazing short thanks for having the information so out and simple no guess work love it
This is probably the best video for this.
I did something similar a few years ago, I believe the chlorine reacts with the copper. Turned my daughters blonde hair green. Had to drain all my water to get rid of the copper in the pool. hopefully that doesn't happen to you
We have had good luck with the pool heater. No green hair. Burn through lots of wood. If it was enclosed to keep the heat in, it would work better, but we want the camp fire appeal. Good luck with the green hair. We keep our chlorine below 8 parts per million and we’re also 53,000 gallons. Not sure if volume has anything to do with it. My daughter and wife use some fancy shampoo that is suppose to help with pool chemicals.
I don’t even have a property yet I’m just planning for the future, this is great
This is such a great tip, thank you!!
Do a video cutting with it
Hell ya I opted for wcs 3 point felling dogs
Won’t work on other saws and 3/4 wrap for 500i is about $250
Thanks for ruining the video with that irritating crappy-ass background "music". Well done.
Just got the Hatchet and will be ordering the top handle soon. I think they will both need this upgrade. Thanks for sharing.
Top handle keeps up with my stihl 009l
Now that looked 100% safe.
ow.. I have never seen that or even heard of it. I would have thought the bar would pinch before the tree just let go like that
Looks like west coast saw is making these now for $17. Part #100-0240. Have a good day!
I think you should downsize your pool : ) Amazing work though. I do wonder though, isn't there a way to get a stove burner to simply touch the water (of a water tub - jacuzzi size) with perhaps just the chimney passing through the water? and thus dispense with the complication of water exchange for those of us without such fitting skills?
Hot water rises I would have flow on the bottom and return on the rop
Shouldn't that water be frozen at 32°!?
I’m in the process of doing this for 20,000 gal, in ground pool. This is the best video explaining how to do it so far. What’s the chances of you selling the copper already looped to drop into a metal barrel?
I think your loosing too much heat. The heat goes up. Great video.
my pool is only 5000 gallons. this will be amazing. smaller pool is easier for sure.
How much was it?
Canadian $212.00 incl. tax
Keep up the good work!
Trail riding weekend warriors🤡
There goes the handle bars.
Nice job doing it all by yourself
Best job ever!!
Ratchet straps are incredibly helpful in many situations, I know from experience having lived through some of these scenarios, which led me to the usage of straps. I am the guy who incorporated the straps in securing a danger/threat that can be avoided with the use of 1 or multiple on a job for the state of Ohio. I applied this method for the removal of a tree from the head of the dam at Charles Mill, in Ohio, they termed it, Dangerous Multistem Technical Tree Removal in a Single Cut, by placing 3 × 10,000lb straps from the base up, while encompassing the crown with a bull rope that collapsed the canopy like a wrapped bouquet with another tied to it all the way up the hillside to the dually. We dumped a multistem tree in a single cut sideways off the dam through a gate that was litteraly just the space & placement required to fit it with this state fence running the length, & it work only if it all goes perfectly. & it did ! So they then asked if I mind they use this method for advanced arborist training. Be safe, always use your tools to your advantage.
That looks kinda weird but it’s so cool! 🕷 🦟🕸
That's so friggin awesome!!
Awesome job dude
Go Delta!! What a dude🤠
This will not work on a 462 or any other models.
Where do you buy this
at your local dealer
Where are you guys out of , British Columbia Canada , Washington state , Oregon or southeast Alaska ?
Definitely more skill than luck! Great job!
Handled that saw like a boss ! Can't wait to see your carving abilities in a couple of years ! We'll done!!!
Great job Hunter!!
You should run away at a 45 degree angle away from the tree. You did not have a clear path to go in that direction. I thought it would have barber chaired, but it didn't. Alder loves to do that.
I appreciate the comment. thank you! definitely something I’ll consider when cutting my next alder.
@@outsidetime911 proper way to cut and alder is a 1/3 face and the a bore leaving the holding wood in the back not the front to prevent chairing.
Love it!
Great fun way to spend time outdoors with the family!!
Cool idea brother, I've never seen that before! Prefect for camping👍Looking forward to more videos😉
