What a great fix! Made the mistake of moving my charging station from a warm room out to the unheated conservatory. Within a week, my trusty iPad was dead and would NOT respond. 5 minutes of gentle heat and presto: works like a charm!!

Inadvertently I ran this IPad right down and it would not charge even after leaving it plugged in all night. As suggested I warmed this iPad in front of a fan heater until it was warm then connected it to charger. The iPad sprung into life. FANTASTIC. I had tried many other things without success. Surprisingly it showed 100% charge. As you can see it is working.
