Using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, flying around the world in a Piper Comanche using radio navigation only.
This is the fourth leg of the journey, from Comox, British Columbia, Canada to Sandspit Airport, British Columbia Canada.
Long, cold flight with just two short range VOR along the way. Headwind really slowed me down. Expected this to be about 2.5 hours and it was over 3.
Started off on the runway because there were no other options in the sim. I Thought I could take off and stay under the clouds, but ended up in very poor visibility IMC conditions until I got above it.
Followed the terrain towards Sandspit and eventually found the VOR. Landing was sport. High winds, but I managed to keep it on the ground without breaking the airplane. It's not pretty.
