    If caffeine was actually killing you wouldn’t it be reflected in the data concerning life expectancy and caffeine consumption. For instance cigarettes are killing the user and it is absolutely apparent in the data. But many many long term studies find no such correlation with caffeine.

    I stopped drinking coffee in July 2021 because I got sick. I was bed ridden for around 2.5 weeks. Afterwards I never made another cup of coffee. Before then I would drink at least 2 cups of coffee, but I was already feeling miserable and praying to God so that I can stop. I have been drinking coffee since I was in Elementary School, and in High School there was a few years where I had depression. Though the depression had a few factors I'm sure my daily cups of coffee made things worse. In my late 20s I had aches in the joints between my fingers. Besides coffee it also was because I was consuming a lot of sugar with my coffee. By stopping coffee I also have rapidly lowered my sugar consumption. I'm still coffee free and I don't even eat anything that has a coffee taste to it (like coffee bread, or coffee candy, etc). Just the memory of the taste of coffee gives me anxiety. I don't have "coffee anxiety" anymore and I do sleep well. I'm now pregnant with my sixth child and I have 5 children ranging from 14 to 2 years old, but I feel overall well rested.

    I’m about to turn 44 and I’m ready to start these “divorce proceedings”, from coffee that is. As I go through this process of elimination trying to get to the bottom of chronic pain, unfortunately this is the next item on my list. I’ve been drinking coffee since 28 and finally think the party is over. My health is finally more important than a short lived buzz first thing in the morning. I don’t even have s*** to do in the morning … looking forward to a sugar free, alcohol free, nicotine free, processed foods free life. It’s *got* to be better for me even if it doesn’t feel it right away.

    In traditional cultures caffeine could be cleared by their systems because there were less adrenal stressors. Yes they had survival stress, but today we have perceived emotional danger off the charts, EMF's bombarding us 24/7, totally unaligned with healthy circadian rhythms, GMO's and chemicals in food, plus media mass fear mind control manipulation. So really no one can clear it or manage it anymore. We need to do everything we can to SUPPORT the adrenals in a world where they are under constantly under attack.

    Adrenal stress from caffeine is not science based and hugely disproven as the adrenal glands are never damaged by chronic stress from anxiety, medications or other foreign substances. There are medications that do not cause activation of the adrenal glands which can damage the adrenal glands but not by over activating the adrenal gland. The adrenal glands can be damaged by autoimmune disease and other less common diseases. I have been an MD for 20 years and can tell you he is radically incorrect and does not have the credentials to be comsidered an expert on anything to do with the adrenal glands. But, do not at all trust or believe me or him. Simply google the topic of adrenal stress by itself. Then google adrenal stress from caffeine. Finally, look up some of his references in his book. You will 100% discover his medical claims are way, way off. I will likely not continue viewing any further podcasts from this host as well as he did zero research to discover if his guest's claims are science based and correct, and that the guest's credentials are minimal and allow for zero expertise on medical topics.

    • @shawnhowland8633
      @shawnhowland8633 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      One more point. Caffeine as a poison and the fact that coffee beans have a massive amount of chemicals has been know for many decades and has been a concern for literally almost all ingest-able substances including plants and animals. He mentions DHEA as well. To clarify his complete lack of medical expertise, he has a masters of science (MS). That degree does not offer training and expertise on any endocrinologic information, which includes all topics related to the adrenal gland, DHEA, epiniphrine or nor-epinephrine (which he screws up in the discussion as he fails to mention that neurotrasmitter). Please be very careful not to trust or believe anything he discusses. He is trying to sell books and make money by giving you hugely disproved information that can actually harm you. Again, google the topic. In fact google him and other comments on him. Also, google the types of degrees required to discuss anxiety, adrenal dysfunction, cardiac disease, sleep metrics, and all the other topics he discusses without the appropriate training most of for which he is fully incorrect.

    wait did he just say there's nothing in the litearture that shows that having a cup of coffee in the morning is bad? why would anyone watch this? who doesn't already know that having coffee in the afternoon is bad for you? This is 1960s level knowledge. my gradma knew that... are you seriously saying that people don't know that energy drinks have caffeine? Is that really the level of intelligence this guy is pandering to? So the reason this guy is so popular is because he reminds people there's caffeine in energy drinks? and people are that stupid? good god.

    Love Damo’s qigong talk, but not sure how qualified he is to discuss the political climate of a country he’s visited a few times. As a 50 year old black American who has not only lived his entire life in the US, but has also studied quite a bit of its history, I can say with a lot of certainty that my country has always been divided. As a white European tourist Damo was probably shielded from some of the realities that people of color have been trying to point out for generations. I don’t totally disagree with the extremes and oversimplifications promoted by the so called woke movement, but the far right has at least an equal influence on the current divided we see in society, as the most affluent and powerful in the US tend to be quite conservative, regardless of political affiliation.
