Love your work , helped me a lot . However my 97 Impreza throttle body only has two small holes where you cut out , do you know if I still need to do something to it??

Wow, awesome, so thankful for this video, but I have a lot of questions. Do 1969 buses have that spring at the top? Mine is missing if so. Can I get a replacement of just the spring? Also, is it possible to service the bearing that goes in the tube and the shaft? Mine column seems loose, or is it cuz I'm missing the spring? I can't take the two screws that hold that cover plate on. They must be rusted stuck on there. I will try hard and maybe buy one of those hammer screwdrivers. You said they were special, but didn't show a close up of the screw. I'm not sure if my coupler has ever been changed. I've tried to access it but can't because of cover plate bolts being stuck, so I'm guessing it's never been changed. I think I can see it from below, but can't tell if it's cracked. Hoping I can remove cover plate to see better from above. Also my horn doesn't work right. It always beeps, I think the wire insulation is probably worn off and is making contact with metal. If I can get my horn to work right I will be so happy. I've had my bus for almost 20 years with no horn!!! This video really made me feel comfortable with doing this job since I now know what it looks like under the plate. I'm excited to finally be able to do maintenance on my steering column parts. I also notice the blinker assembly had two clamps inside mine only has one. My blinker assembly is so loose and spins around. I wonder what year you have so I can tell if my 1969 needs that part. I don't need the whole assembly just the little silver clamp inside. Look forward to hopefully hearing your response.

This video seems to be heavenly sent. Ive been struggling for the longest of time regarding the throttle linkage cable. I dont know if its the same problem but!! Lol i have the same transmission on my vw 1987 microbus which is connected to a Toyota 4Y engine. Now my problem is when i bought the bus the transmission was dismantled it was NOT installed, i eventually got it installed shortly after installation. I came to the realisation that the transmission is neither going up a gear or down a gear. It only selects the 1st gear and reverse gear. While watching your video i noticed that my transmission does not have that bracket where the throttle linkage cable goes. Instead its one long cable runing from the paddle to the motor. Could this be my problem to why my transmission does not select gears or kicks down?

Hi...so what you are saying is that the Subaru engine is manual and adaptor plate allows for transmission that you are using to be an automatic?

Great instructional video. There’s so much to like aside from the helpful knowledge transfer. I like the picture-in-a-picture two mechanic view, the use of personal protective gear and head lamp, great camera work, pleasant background music, excellent lighting, the emphasis on safety and longevity, the light humor (“This guy here”), and finally the lack of unnecessary shenanigans. I got a set of konis for my 71. They were like hen's teeth to find and as you say not cheap. I also got a heavy duty ( empi) sway bar ar which makes the bus ride as if its on tracks. 😊

My subaru 2.5 ildel no matter what I do it's stays 1500 can't figure this out replace tps throttle body any would appreciate.

As long as the price is reasonable, I'd buy the reverser from you. The throttle body mods look like something could do myself.

Thank you very much! Will adjustment at this place, be available to make your throttle less sensitive? My EJ25 conversion has a very sensitive pedal. I wish it was less sensitive when starting out from a stop.
