If the battery was dead just change the battery. No need to tow it in. Especially to a dealer. If the car is still under warranty the tow is free.

If there are any warning lights on, take note of them immediately. Refill your gasoline before the low gasoline light turns on. If your car breaks down or runs out of fuel in the middle of the road or if you have to stop on the side of the road, it is very dangerous. How much per mile? In Michigan AAA is $7 a mile. So it should have been $105 for 15 miles. Unless their prices are higher in other states.

Never drive without AAA!!! Free towing is 100% worth the membership price. THey likely could have replaced your battery right there on the street!

Saying you’ll transfer or stay if you like were you are is a great way of approaching this outcome. You’ll do great. Don’t hesitate to shoot your shot for MIT or other schools as a transfer student, if you do decide to transfer, even though BU or BC are fine. Lastly, I’m no authority on this but you were accepted to some very good schools. You should not feel dejected. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
