In 1867, Bobby’s fame earned him a special license and collar, protecting him under a new law that required dogs to be licensed or face destruction. When Bobby passed away in 1872, he was buried near his master in Greyfriars Kirkyard, a fitting tribute to his extraordinary devotion.
