I bought Persona 4 Golden in 2021 and it was the first jrpg i bought in my life. The game will always be special to me. I had never bought a jrpg and i don't even watch anime, but now i'm fully into jrpgs.

We don't "need" a Persona 4 remake, but with how good P3 Reload was I want one now

Playing first time here. All good except the dungeons and that festival in October can sod right off. Like the 8 bit dungeon boss theme remix though. Turns out the game ends before I thought it would, so another playthrough will be needed.

I thinks its interesting how you say Arena and Ultimax show Naoto having no regrets in dressing more fem, when the canon and further timeline wise Detective Naoto manga actually reverses that and has her ONLY present masculine. Not to mention Naoto in dancing and Arena goes back to wearinf mcaculine clothiquivery quickly. Almost like the character feels more comfortable presentimg maculime. (or the writers being incompetent)

Persona 4 golden is such a comfort game. I absolutely love how cozy it feels

I played Persona 4 first because I was told it was a good starting point and that most people liked P5 better (P3 reloaded didn't exist yet and general consensus at the time was that P3 was dated - I think that's changed somewhat with the rerelease where people are finding things to appreciate about reloaded and the original too, but I haven't gotten to it yet), so I thought I'd play the entry people liked less first and then get to "the good one" with P5. I ended up adoring P4, warts and all. There are a few topics I think it doesn't handle with the most grace, but what it tries to do is always heartfelt and genuine. The bonds the characters form feel real, even when they get under each others' skin. When I finally played P5 expecting "P4 but even better," I was actually a little disappointed. It's not a bad game, but plot and character-wise (and especially in its writing, both dialogue and pacing), I think P4 still blows it out of the water

People aren't saying these things are Canon they're just saying that they're upset about how atlus treat queer characters / upset about the queerbaiting, I understand the point that you're trying to make but I don't think that people don't have a valid reason to be upset

:3 I agree that the random dungeons are better especially on a repeat run While my favourite dungeons in the series are actually persona 1's i think the random generated stuff isn't awful like some people make it out to be, however i actually prefer the p3fes style of Tartarus as opposed to the TV world, i think it might be just that i prefer FES's with its knockdown rules, while stunlocking is certainly a bit of an issue is especially late game Fes it is a pain to draw out an entire fight like that. Still prefer p4 dungeons to p5 tho. I also don't think atlus should make persona dungeons closer to nocturne or DDS, while nocturne dungeons can be quite fun i can't imagine a casual player would want to solve kabukicho prision from nocturne in the middle of their life sim/rpg game, although i could see maybe persona 6 taking the SMT V approach in having bigger more open areas to explore but not an actual open world.
