to be honest, people only step on a bear trap if they're unlucky or an imbecile. I don't place bear traps, i use them to extend combos when i land a brain fryer. Sometimes i can do the same on a ragdolled player from the hunter bones

Horrortale skin for papaya is the best to use, first the map is like completely straight and no places to hide, next we have fog that sometimes raises and chara team maybe will not see attacks as well.

big swap main here, i have a few tips that may help you do a lot better with him firstly, I'd recommend playing zoomed out from a top down perspective, it helps a lot with seeing whats going on inside your bone cages Bone Zone & Bone Barrage are your neutral tools, use these constantly to chip people down and start out a battle Only ever use Bone Fall after using Bone Cage, it will almost never hit otherwise When you trap people in a Bone Cage, use Bone Fall to corner them somewhere and then use Magnificent Pounce or Bone Zone directly on them always combo Magnificent Pounce with Bone Zone + Bone Barrage, *never* use Bone Fall for it, it's just a waste You can bait people to the side of the map and use Bone Cage to trap them close to the wall, where it's very easy to use Bone Fall + Magnificent Pounce Save Bone Throw and Goofy Run for getting people off of you, you can use Bone Throw with Bone Cage for some extra damage, but it can be a little risky I hope this helps, swap is rlly fun when you get good with him and I believe his skill ceiling is really high

Good early game character, severely lacks in late game compared to others, telekinesis + blaster carries him though. There are better options tbh. I'd give him a C, maybe low B.
