    Are the works at the top Montessori works or curriculum requirements? ( I am in a public Montessori and we have to do Eureka Math, Aspire, and some other things)

    • @partsofthelanguagellc
      @partsofthelanguagellc 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can edit and change the daily required works at the top. I just chose those because I know they are getting multiple math and language practice in each day, on top of their math and language work for the today. Math Card (solving equations), and Math Facts are more math practice. Editing, journal, RAZ Kids, and Waseca are all language works (writing or reading) and then the typing is a practical life skill so they can practice typing. Again, you can change the top items for what you need to the students do.

    HI! I'm teaching in a mainstream school but looking at bringing in some montessori elements into my classroom. With the reflection sheet, do you sit with them to complete it? What do you do with it when they finish? e.g. send it home or keep it on file? Also, I just did invisible ink with my first graders! We used lemon juice on paper and then they watched me iron their paper to reveal the message. The end result wasn't amazing, but the messaged did come through. Your result looks waaaay better, I'll have to keep that recipe in mind!

    • @partsofthelanguagellc
      @partsofthelanguagellc 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is awesome you are looking to add some Montessori elements to your classroom! They complete them during the recess and I will sit with them. I make sure they choose the correct "How to stop it from happening again" option, because sometimes they truly don't know which one to choose. I keep the reflection sheets in envelopes in my room. It helps me keep track of behaviors. I haven't sent it home, but we do use a way to send photos to the families, so I could always take a picture to show the parents. That is awesome you did the lemon juice invisible ink! I have always wanted to try that one!

    I am really interested in learning more about your class and how Montessori works in elementary, but i spent the whole video looking at your floor. I have no idea what your room looks like or what you were trying to explain. I don't mean to be unkind, I want to understand!

    So they read the fly leaf book and at the end of the week they complete a work page about it?

    • @partsofthelanguagellc
      @partsofthelanguagellc ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to see where the new student is in reading, so they read a few different Flyleaf Publishing books to me. All students: Each day they read the book that they are on and complete one page of the reading work packet. Typically, there are four pages, but as the books/work gets more challenging, there are five days. The more challenging work actually lists the Day 1, Day 2, etc. on the pages, but the first set of books do not, so the students know to complete one page a day. If they do not have it all complete by Friday, they know they need to complete it. The next week, they start the next book in the series.

    I work in a school that is not Montessori but I love so many of the elements of this style. How do you guys get the activity cards that sit on your shelves for each subject matter?

    • @partsofthelanguagellc
      @partsofthelanguagellc ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Almost all the works on the shelves are materials from Montessori companies. There are command cards (activity cards) for each area. Most of those came from the disk from my training. I have some free cards I have made if you visit montessori-resources.teachery.co/montessori-resources . Thank you!

      Hi! It is Montessori, so I follow the Montessori Method, which follows Scope and Sequences. I made my own Scope and Sequence for Lower Elementary, but since it was a fluke that I was teaching Early Childhood/Kindergarten, I do not have my own scope and sequence for that. I hope that answers you question! Thanks.
