Smashing Pumpkins 1991 Interview - WFNX Birthday Bash
มุมมอง 67K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Interview with the band during the WFNX Birthday Bash in Boston on Sept 23, 1991. Among the bands which played that night was also Nirvana, and the infamous "Crisco twister" video was filmed that same night.
Billy's so hungry for the mic.
I was 18 back in 1991,. Now im 28 in 2024.
Damn, she looked good.
Not one single of them really drink anything, its always social engineering 4 D youth.
I am in love with Darcy, little cutie in a blue velvet shirt, heroin destroyed that poor lass!
I adore D'Arcy the way she was then.
Its wild to see video of Billy before he became an arrogant prick
D'arcy Wretzky 🔥🙌
Billy Corgan's always been an arse.
Darcy had a meaty bread-bin.
I wish the dude on the left always kept saying he became really good friends with everyone and Billy kept saying no
D'arcy was such a gem
😂
I can't watch this....these two need to sort their sh*t out once and for all. D'arcy is missed
I've never seen somebody lose so much coolness and talent with their hair
Arcane brother.!!!! LOL... D'arcy was an absolutely cute girl!
I heard ya was obsessed with Wonderstuff lead singer resembled lead singer Jim Kerr simple minds .one day ur on top of the world long curly hair then ur telly savalas with head coach Boston bruins 👴👴👴👴👴
Darcy all class. Billy overbearing. Jimmy ready to get off his face. James ironic.
*... start saying goodbye to those flowing locks, Billy*
billy had such a raggedy appearance ((i love it))
Time changes everything
Why i'm smiling ?
D’arcy's life ruined by control freak Corgan.
He knew Darcy could sing so he shut her down. Didnt want to lose the limelight.
gerald way looks like the younger billy corgan
He really fuckin does though lmao that's crazy 😂
Crazy how much Billy looks like Tom Brady. Once you see it… you know
Anyone would get tired of Billy after awhile , 🙄
D'arcy was smoking hot back in the day ❤❤
Still is
One of the few shows the Pumpkins ever played with Nirvana. As I'm writing this I look above and see that the description already says what I'm currently writing, but fuck it... I'm going to continue. The bands got together on stage to play Twister, and Krist Novoselic got down to his underwear and greased himself with Crisco for the advantage. After the game was finished, he grabbed an American flag randomly from the stage and wiped himself off with it, including an exaggerated wipe of his butt, which infuriated a few Boston townies in the crowd. They had to hide out and get security to escort them out of the club afterwards. Billy and Kurt (who was about to get uber famous in a couple months from this video,) had the Courtney Love connection, and never became friendly unfortunately. Very different people anyways. Okay, I'm rambling now. Later
aw! their so cute! X3
Imagine paying for your own drinks 😱
She (was) so hot...
1991… I miss you so much. MTV is there broadcasting from a WFNX event, which is a small radio station in Boston
MTV Brasil!!! 💜💜💜
Beautiful darcy❤
« I’m Muggly Wamp » 😆
Chapterhouse woohoo time machine
Man she was a stuner then.
Smashing Pumpkins ❤
Wait, what did they mean with the "ooga booga" after "MTV Brazil"?
I was in love with D'Arcy😍 Then she had to marry a dork.!!!
Kerry Brown looks like my crazy Aunty. I will never understand.
Wish they would’ve stayed all together and had better friendships. I know it’s hard taking orders from the “leader” and the main song writer all the time. D’arcy will always be dreamy to my 1990’s teenage mind 😢
Darcy has hairstyle as Christina Applegate back then and Billy Corgan has hairstyle of Sherman Helmsley from the Jeffersons lol
@@carlbutler3279D'Arcy was f@*&ing gorgeous. My God. Billy had cool hair, nice hair. It's a shame it all fell out so quickly.

The way Billy shuts Darcy down at 6:33 is out of order
wow that was awkward. even more so the nudge she gave James out of embarrassment
He was just trying to move the interview along. Was t that big of a deal haha
Shame, they used to be good friends
Looking back at videos like these, I realize how obnoxious Billy has always been...We just let it slide because the music was good.
Thanks. I thought I was the only one. But then he's not alone. I mean.. . Jaz Coleman... Mike Patton... many more...
d'arcy, a huge loss to this band....
Always had a crush on Miss D’Arcy
Same!
Nice to see a humble Billy.
Billy was always humble. He was pretty much just an asshole to the musicians he didn’t like. But to his fans he was always down-to-earth. He’s one of those people I guess who just hated socializing, except when it came to his fans.
@@whyismylifeweird4251come on, he talks in short sentences here and let the other guys speak, which is a refreshing change to recent times
I saw them twice about a year later, and he was actually real douchey. One gig, he refused to sing several of the songs for whatever reason, leaving the band to play instrumental versions. Same gig, he made fun of audience members for various reasons. I remember he made fun of some kid crowd surfing wearing a RATM shirt. Like why? That kid paid to see you and you’re making fun of him. Worst shows I’ve ever seen to this day and I’ve seen a lot.
@@KBizzy wow Billy is kinda cringe sometimes. And he’s a grown MAN
@@whyismylifeweird4251 he has some sort of mild autism I think
“If your stuff isn’t good it won’t get played.” Love that.
