Shore-jigging and Shore-casting around Sydney Australia, posting the best moments and experiences.
Big Fish Equals Screaming Reel | Sydney Rockfishing
After last weeks video I was determined to catch another bonito. This time, it was much bigger and put me to the test. Being foul hooked in the gills made it feel much bigger than it was, so much so that I thought it was a rat kingfish at the start!

MICROJIGGING FOR PELAGICS IN WINTER

3 days of microjigging put together, with my PB Trev caught at the end
You have a tonne of lures, what would you recommend as a novice hard body to start with, the Cavalla Got a friggin nice fish 😊❤❤
Love your work mate, new subscriber, do you use a leader ? Or are you running straight onto the braid or mono??,
What knot do you use?? Great fish,
The moment you put the wobbler on I knew you would hook up , reason being the more natural swimming action , jigs suite certain fishing situation on the fish being aggressive , just my take on that , good to see you hooked up even though foul hooked. 👍
@@fishmut Totally agree mate, I use it sort of in a “last resort” situation where stickbaits and jigs aren’t getting any bites. Not as fun to use but when the day is slow they’re great to have 👍 Thank you!
where is this rock fishing spot iv never rock fished and want to and this doesnt seem to dangerous
Nice spot mate and awesome video too. Yeeha from Darwin NT ❤
Thank you bro, much love ❤️
Thats my local. I used to pick up a couple of plastic bags full of rubbish every sunday. Nice gloves 😬😎
It’s worrying how much rubbish is always left, hoping it becomes less over time. Thanks bro! 😆
I was looking on isofishing style snd saw that rod. I was wondering if a size 6000 saltist mq reel would be good with it.
100% bro, that’s the exact reel I have been using with it. Unfortunately my Saltist is just under warranty at the moment but hoping to get it back soon 🤞
Good fight, you didn't let him get away👍
I really wanted to take him home with me 😄
Where abouts is this?
Ty for showing the lures used
Of course bro! It’s all a process of trial and error
Big lift bro! 😂 didn't realise you were up so high
It’s deceptive hey 😆😆
What rod u got?
check description
The one in this video is in the description, the new one which I’ve already caught some great fish on (video coming next weekend) is the Majorcraft Crossride 5G 1002HH, an incredible feeling rod 🎣
@@vxtedifishingseen you at the ledge a few times keep it up bro 👍
@@efanpeafanThank you bro 🙏
Nice chunky Bonnie bro, great fight! 🤙
@@indosydneyfishing Mantap bro! Looks like you’ve been getting some bonnies too, we’re getting back into the season 🎣
@@vxtedifishing next stop, kingies🤙
@@indosydneyfishing🤞🤞
@@indosydneyfishing can u get kings at this spot?
What’s this spots location
Zac_Syd why is your page has no fishing video?? port botany I just gave you 95% rest you look for that 10% percent and wallah got the spot.
@@rohikam4205 Wallah? You mean "Voila". It's French not Arabic haha
Most of the gear you use is made by Japanese manufacturers. As a Japanese, I am happy. And I'm glad you caught some tasty fish!
@@seven-seas-jp Of course, it’s best to use the best quality gear 😉 Thank you! It was very tasty as sashimi
May I know where's it? I have a shore-jigging rod, and haven't had it wet for 3 years
Pls bro luv yr video were is this place pls
Dear fisho 7.38 just after he wrote 90 minutes later enhance that image and maximise its a dead give away of spot. LoL cant you see the 4 big cranes of port B....y, Sorry Mr @vxtedifishing that guy looks very desperate about this spot.
Just west of east North Head. Once you get to that rock you head a bit south then take a left. If you see the tree you've gone to far, its just past that.
Oh nice catch, i m curious about i have 14-42gr daiwa rod and still i didnt try more than 20gr jig. Do you think there would be much difference between 30 and 40gr jigs in casting distance ?
Thanks very much! The most important thing when it comes to casting distance is the shape and if the lure has been designed to cast (some are meant for offshore jigging or trolling). Extra weight does certainly help though. Give it a go and experiment with the lures you have! 🙂
These fish are crazy, they swim all the way to where i live, which is Norway
@@TheTwitchybird Wow that’s incredible! And thanks for watching all the way from Norway too 🇳🇴
Think u just got a random 1. If they were back you would have caught a few more
@@raschellesherwood6347 Possibly! Definitely have been a lot more people catching them in the last couple weeks. Maybe they’re just not back in full force yet.
@vxtedifishing lol I only mentioned it coz you got my hopes up when you said there back.. but I'm afraid not in the usual numbers
@@raschellesherwood6347 Me too, fingers crossed hey
Well done brother, subscribed 🎉
@@MarkDeFishing Thank you bro, means a lot 🙏🐟
Nice topwater session. Sunrise and sunset is best for topwater.
hey would u say a daiwa bg or a daiwa sea bass rod is better
Both very different rods. If you’re casting from land then the Seabass 100%. The BG is meant for Offshore applications (fishing off a boat)
Mate Where is this place please? 🎣
Congrats. BTW i think your rod is a little bit light. You had better use heavier rod. For example 10-30 gr.
@@aliyucel9670 Thank you bro, this is just my light setup, I have a heavier 7-35g and 20-80g 😄
Love the brutally honest format. I know how testing that ledge is in winter. I've been spearing around the area and can tell you that schooling fish like salmon often speed through an area, so the window to catch them can be tiny. Have had salmon/tailor shoot over me on several occasions, faster than I can move the barrel.
Thanks bro that means a lot! Yeah, definitely slim chances of casting back and hooking up after losing the fish. Definitely can feel extremely random how long the fish hang around for, I can get 1 bite the whole day and then it goes quiet. Bring on Summer!
Bro your so underrated you need more subscribers and viewers and stuff
Thanks bro appreciate that!
That’s cool a vid bro, just subscribed to the channel. Have a peek at some of our missions from Auckland, nz ❤

Nice sambo mate ! They love the metals and can’t resist ! Well done 👍 tight lines brother 🎣
They eat em up like lollies hey! Tight lines bro 😁🐟
@@vxtedifishing yeah man been catching heaps on the slugs especially the Halco streakers
How r u i met u at blues point I tried the rock jetty’s in Brighton-Le-Sands/ botany but no hits do u have any tips
Keep trying on different days and tides. You will get fish eventually, guarenteed
Yessir 🔥
The drag sound is absolutely mental mate! Good work landing them, really hard fighting fish! May I ask how you work your double clutch? I had one for a while but literally nothing caught using it haha
Thanks so much! It sounds good doesn’t it, love this reel. Usually I give the lure 3-4 twitches and pause, repeat. I find that even slow retrieving them with a bit of patience works, really just depends on the day.
good content mate! I personally also love micro jigging a lot but only in the parra. Definitely need to give it a go in the harbour
Always fun microjigging!
Out fishing it’s a good thing. 🎉
