มุมมอง 1387 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Kendo is one of my favourite edc knives. It has clean lines with a beautiful tanto blade. Functional and easy to carry, it does a lot of things right. @bestechknives #edc #edcknife #folder #foldingknife #bestechvideos #edccommunity

Deploying the Spyderco PM2 vs. the Manix 2.
Nice switch Def liking the natural with the black.
Appreciate that! Normally I favour OD green but the jade/black out combo takes it here.
It's the best review over there. So much useful information. Thanks
Wow, thank you!
One day Manix. One day.
Spyderco is now releasing the Manix XL in Spy27 as well. I’d like one of those too 😍
Hi. Do you find that you can drop this in your finger to close without cutting your finger? Thank you
Unfortunately you CANNOT close the Bush Ranger safely with one hand. The edge of the blade is as tight as you can get to the front of the handle, so there’s no safe space for your finger. It’s a two hander to close for sure.
Ok thank you
Me encanta ese cuchillin, en unos días lo recibiré junto con el nieto yesca mini, un saludo desde el canal Sólo tallas y algunas cosillas más 👍🏽 👋🏽
@@Frantxis thank you! I hope you get a lot of use out of both knives!
My wife just bought this for me for a gift but I can't open it till the 12th of next month. (It's driving me crazy I want to open it now😆) Beautiful blade, bro! 👍
Congrats! I think you’ll really enjoy it, so well made and solid!
That knife is honestly the best sounding knife I've ever heard
@@ojgalambos7836 it’s pretty satisfying I gotta say.
Never gonna understand the appeal of original goat.
Really? (I don’t mean that sarcastically) It’s an opportunity to either personalize something or give a model a lighter weight option. Granted, not everyone cares about those things but it does have some pretty wide appeal I think.
So sick! Just bought some for my REX-45 LW. Chose the northern lights ceramic coating!🤙🏻
Ok that sounds fantastic! Hope you love them when they get to you!
I'm looking at those grinds and there perfect I just picked up the Spyderco lum and the plunge grinds are uneven was going to return it but didn't want to take the chance of losing it in the mail. I dropped a sub I enjoyed learning about the knifes.
Appreciate hearing your thoughts, and thank you for checking out the video🙏 It can be pretty disappointing getting something with those kinds of flaws, especially after working hard to save up for something you were looking forward to.
Those knifes look very nice I just can't see those holding their value like a USA , Japan, Germany , Italy ECT. I can't justify paying over 100$ for a knife made in China the cost to make it is next to nothing 60$ if I had to guess.
Desirability can be a tricky thing, some knives are worth far more to some people than others. Which is fine, our personal tastes are part of what makes the community so great.
Молодец)) и операторский талант и вкус в сочетании музыки движения и речи есть)))...даже захотелось такой складник иметь!)))
Thank you! 🙏
You should of put painters tape or other tape on blade so you don't get cut or damage the blade.
Thank you for saying something, that’s an excellent point! Something I’ve done before but took for granted on this build. One slip and things could’ve looked differently.
Nice Scales, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Thx Stiletto🙏
So nice😍😍 I love my base S30V G10 also but wow this is so beautiful!
Honestly the Manix XL is one of my favourites😎
Nice collection! 💪🗡
Appreciate it!
i purchased a set of liner delete scales from applied weapons technology made from aluminum. wonderful scales. carried my manix 2 for almost a month and went back to the g10 with liners. got it back together. in hand it felt so good. its not just the loss of the weight, its that aggressive jimping that i was missing. conclusion, without the steel liners its not a manix 2. i did however make some changes. i installed the titanium ball cage from flytanium and the final addition to this manix 2 was installing the full length titanium back spacer. let me tell you the back spacer makes the whole knife look absolutely incredible. i dont know why more people are not doing this. thank you for the video and i hope to see your channel grow. good luck
There’s no denying that the G10 with liners is a win(!) The aftermarket is one of the fun avenues for someone to personalize a knife that’s found a home in their collection. But not all these ways are for everyone and I can totally appreciate that. I think more readily available backspacer options for the Manix would be huge! Thank you for your kind words also🙏
Big agree from me, I love the Manix jimping, it is part of its identity.
I was going to ask if you’d be willing to sell your leftover G10 scales/liners/lanyard tube but I see you’re from Canada so shipping to the US is probably expensive
I’ve actually shipped fixed blades to the US several times and it’s easy and affordable actually. I appreciate the offer to take the cobalt blue g10 set up off my hands. I’ll be keeping them for now tho as I might be using them again for another build.
Thank you for mentioning that the liners are skeletonized
Welcome!
Just ordered the same one lastnight 👍
Congrats! I’ve been enjoying mine, def has a quality feel to it.
Cold Steel's answer to the Busse Combat Ultra Lite Bregade Derrlye Dickson knife. 😊
Interesting, I’m not too familiar Busse knives. Thx for pointing that out.
Man i rmember qhen tgis brabd 1st came out. Wow have they got expensive....
I do love them but it can’t be denied how pricey they’ve become.
just depends on the knife lol. i got a we qubit for 170, insane price for the quality
What is the price ?
The price ranges between $410-$435 CDN depending on which version you get. If you’re outside of Canada then you’ll have to hunt around at your preferred retailer to see the cost there.
Damn you love the Kendo more then I do! I only have 3, (2 budget, 1 premium)
Some came by through trades and got a few gems on the secondary🙂 What are the versions you have?
CIVIVI liner locks 🧑🎄 not for folks who like to really rely of a lnofe for more the opening packages or cutting tape. 😞 Bush Ranger can be carried by Army Rangers and with confidence. 😊
It definitely gives the confidence of a folding fixed blade.
do you have any proof its not plastic or styrene or some sort of mild pliable ceramic or abs plastic
Which part of the knife are you referring to?
I'm tempted by this knife, but I don't know if the blade is skeletonized under the blades, and in this doubt, I'm really hesitant.
I can’t confirm if the handle is full tang however - even if the handle is skeletonized I cannot see any situation where this knife would fail. It’s a companion knife, plenty strong for the uses it was created for and too small to be over stressed by heavy use. If this blade speaks to you then I think it’d serve you well.
I think it’s best as chicken butchering/chopping knife.
It definitely has the capability for those tasks.
Good review. Thanks!
Super appreciate the feedback, thanks!
You can beat it up , enjoy 😉. I understand most people will keep and treat them nicer or grab the right blade like a fixed blade . Dang though , the 4 max is a beast for $50 on sale .
I’ve never held a 4 Max but everyone that I’ve seen who has one absolutely appreciates what it brings to the table! I agree tho, the AD10 is perfect for hard use.
@@hazard502 AD10 lite is for hard use? If you want real hard use, you need 4Max regular or scout. It's bigger/stronger. Will take more beating.
Love the knife - it came blunt as a butter knife. For its price point it should at least come a little sharp. Probably the best knife they ever produced even so. The knife is also paired well with the Condor Ripper.
Condor seems to have one or two things juuust a bit off in their production, an edge or handle finish etc. But you're right, over all such a great knife and high value for what you get. The Plan A is still a top favourite in my collection.
Just ordered condor plan A, cold steel marauder and ka bar wart hog to add to my collection looking forward to the condor operator Bowie coming soon
You have an excellent line up of blades coming your way very nice!
Lol. I've got 8 Zt-0562's (2 are stock and 6 are lazer etched customs) , 5 Spyderco PM 2's, and 6 Kubey Ku122's (best budget edc ever imo) collecting is an addiction.
Epic! Yes I totally agree lol
Nice to see I'm not alone in occasionally buying more than one color way of a model I really like. That green looks amazing. Had trouble finding a satin blade when I was trying to get my Kendo, had to look high and low for a couple of months before finally getting one.
I know right?! I don't know how to show you, but I currently have 6 Kendos! Three of the premium titanium - as I also picked up the stonewash plain ti version, and three of the g10 in black, tan and green handles. It is hard to find all of the premium variants Bestech came out with years ago, and it's hard to tell the exact blade finish too so sometimes it seems like a bit of a risk in that regard. I'm still kind of interested in the black ti variant too lol.
Great video! I picked up the plain Ti satin version 2 years ago and still love it. Have you seen the Kansept Hazakura? It's a Japanese tanto, Ti, framelock, with a Timascus inlay on the show side. It's about the same length as the Kendo but slimmer, lighter, and is a bit more of a gentleman's knife. Chicago knife works has it on clearance, marked down from $355 to $106 thought you might be interested. As a fan of nice tanto knives thought this one might be in your wheelhouse.
Thanks a ton my good man! I have def seen the Hazakura, it's pretty attractive. Appreciate the heads up on the discount too!
@@hazard502 You're welcome. I see they sold out hope you got one if you wanted it.
I would take a belt sander or grinder and bring the top of the scandi edge higher and grind down the spine just a tad. Give it a 90deg edge too. Perfect Bushcraft and for finer tasks
You're right, some quality time working on the edge would yield a fantastic cutting tool. Plus it'd make the Brakimo truly your own!
Is the sheath ambidextrous? Can the clip be repositioned to the other side? Looks like there is a place to make a hole. Thanks
I believe this is a single position clip, I don't have the Brakimo anymore so I can't confirm this - sorry! However you pointed out something I didn't notice before (which is great), the divot on the other side does make it look like you can drill out that spot and reverse the clip. It also looks like it's recessed on that side to accept hardware that won't come into contact with the blade while it's in the sheath. I think that if you research the idea you've come up with you should be able to confirm your theory. Whatever you may find, please report back as lots of people could learn from this!
Did you ever use this for heavy or light dueling?
I’ve not used it for any heavy duelling in it’s original form. I’ve since converted it to a single bladed saber because I love playing around with the MHS parts. However, it’s built very strong as a crossguard and it will handle heavy duelling for sure. A few things to consider for that - 1. The whole emitter has a good number of set screws to hold it together, you’ll have to pay attention to them, check them to see if any may come loose from duelling. 2. For the crossguard blades the insertion depth isn’t that deep, they use three set crews to secure them which is lots, but it won’t be uncommon for them to get knocked on a bit of an angle from the force of impact. It’s just a matter of straightening them out if that happens. In all I’d buy with confidence if you’re looking to get one for combat.
@@hazard502 id like to have an affordable high republic style saber over this one however i cant find any that aint plastic i do heavy duels mostly by the way i appreciate your time!
@@brandondavis3170 you’re very welcome!
C.S. fan here, •but•, The often useless jimping (Air Lite is good), the dreadful clips, and, the near unforgivable T6 Torx...
Well you're not wrong lol. Unless I bend the clip on this one it's nearly impossible to work with as is!
My smaller version sheath did the same exact thing yet i didn't wear mine at all. Something aboit that belt loop portion was not stitched properly. Good idea to use rivets 👍
Thank you! Yeah interesting that it happened to you without any wear on it.
a beauty and a beast in one piece 💓
💪💪
Bad ass blades! WTG is killing it! One awesome design after another lately!
I couldn't agree more, WTG is such a sleeper and making some of the industries best in my humble opinion.
That green really looks beautiful. I ordered the flamed version. Was going back and forth between the green and flame.
Both are amazing honestly but, I'd still pick the flame ano over the other options bc of the visual interest and the finishes on the blade and handle will be more resistant to wear.
Great review. Looks so nice!
Thanks so much Jeffery!
Great Presentation And Honest Review ! Thank You For Sharing !
Thank you for the comment and for checking out the video!
I have this knife i wish they would upgrade to 14C like they have in the drop point😊
I totally agree! 14c could be used a whole lot more in my opinion, not just with Civivi but many other companies too.
A little FYI according to Dr Larin Thomas the Moly Vanadium steel they use is simply 4116 cryogenically treated which is a great stainless steel in my opinion but there certainly are better ones out there however they definitely are able to heat treat it very well to get maximum performance out of it I compare it to say N690 if you're familiar with the performance of that steel...
Thanks for the info on the steel! I've been impressed with how well it's performed - lots of confidence with it.
Best affordable knives out there
Now that they're using more micarta I put Condor up with tops. Not in fit and finish but their catalog is big and diverse. Something for everyone and unique designs.
I agree and the fun designs are part of why I like Condor so much, they're willing to try something unique or go over to more traditional at times.
How strong is the Tipp? Beste regards
The tip is very robust, it provides lots of confidence to use it for tough stabbing tasks. It strikes a pretty good balance of strength and piercing ability for sure. Thank you for checking out the video @Marco Reinhart
