Jack and Sean Gallen were among the special children honored at the 2017 Shining Star Awards. The twins spent a special day with Nik Staukas of the Philadelphia 76ers. Jack and Sean were delivered eight weeks early due to life threatening twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Jack was the donor twin and was most threatened. The effects of his traumatic birth could take years to determine. Sean, the receiving twin, had kidney issues within 24 hours of birth. They fought together to survive and came home together and their togetherness continues to this day.
