for me the terrain that actually generates is very small and the rest is still flat

These are great. I was going to ask if this could all be loaded on runtime. Meaning every level load is generated off a random seed. With the landscape and meshes being applied automatically?

I had a bit of time off, I'll be slowly adding to this and making a full entire game.
And I don't really understand. Does your map have an end?
At the moment, it does not have an end, it only exists for the extents of the terrain, later I will add blocking volumes or terrain around the edges that is unable to be passed, depending on the resulting game.
