What's the name of the the ableton skin you're using?
It's the Live 10 skin in dark mode. It was available in the Live 11 beta (which I used here) but they took it away in the official release!

Damn. Gonna hav to start saving up for the full edition of ableton. My standard versions seems weak compared to this. Sucks that ableton is so expensive.
I've seen a lot of people get a lot of stuff done with the Standard version of ableton + a few third party VSTs! Whereisalex comes to mind
@@jrgreer Yeah i have a lot of third party VSTs so that not my issue. More the Full sampler, Track delay, and workflow stuff like that.

Bruh, this “off the grid” delay is so useful, has been on every project since seeing this vid. They really need to have this built in. I think the Ableton track delay is basically useless when it messes with input latency ...

Love the beat. How do you find mixing on those beyerdynamics? I have ath-m50s and their really not cutting it. Do the beyerdynamics give you enough kick in the low end to make it fun?
The 990s don't have a ton of low end -- but they have the most accurate mids ever, and that's where the energy of your track lives. I love my 990s and it only took me a few days to get used to them. It's so easy to mix with these things - I recommend everyone gets a pair!
@@jrgreer awesome man, I’m ordering mine today. Just out of curiosity, which impedance do you have and what do you drive them with? I’m debating a higher end dac amp but not sure if it’s worth the money.
@@diedforurwins I think the 990s only come in a 250 ohm version (which is best anyways). I'm currently using an Audient Evo 8 as my interface. Maybe I'll make a gear video sometime!

I'd watch a piano/keyboard tutorial from you man. To be able to sit on the keys and just play is amazing dude
I wish I could teach keys... but it's just something that happens naturally with the way my brain works/playing by ear/etc. I'll hear something in my head and just automatically know which keys will make that sound. With enough practice anyone can get really good relative pitch (which is basically the same thing). Also I'd much rather watch a keyboard tutorial from Jacob Collier, Anomalie, or Cory Henry. They're literally insane!
Thanks! I get it. It's hard to explain and learn from tutorials because keys are really feeling based. Getting down unique harmonies is tricky. I'm also realizing that making music is not just keys but also other elements of the production that make a good track. I've been watching housofjaz tutorial to learn.
