Great band ! Fantastic !

Looks like they're in Camden/ Chalk Farm in London. All very trendy now. Not then.

This is my record, inherited from my dad. I love it, but I know nothing about this band. If anyone has any info, post a comment!

The introspective side of the early riot; well, actually their sound was closer already to postpunk than what we were supposed to expect from a London group in 77. I was far away from there, and obviously at that time, news came in waves, depending on your grasp of Brit press available; it was easier for us, though, to get informed 'cause there was this radio geezer broadcasting nightly on a big national FM station (property of the Roman Catholic Church and the Holy See, mind you...), who had just been granted the chance of having a daily 2-hour show (''Rotação''= ''Rotation'', with a station jingle intro from Kraftwerk's Airwaves). I remember singles being spun , amidst stage-side references like Eater, Cocksparrer, Slaughter and the Dogs, Wire, The Rings, and there were the Subway Sect too. This guy had just returned from London and had witnessed a few things during that Summer of 76. From then on, he became (in my own estimation) the central figure on Portuguese radio, in matters of accurate and updated musical information/formation of the public's good taste in modern popular music. Until his untimely demise, on Oct31st, 2009. His name, António Sérgio Ferrão. Hats off to Sérgio!

I was at this show! Really, it means a lot for you to post this because I sort of forgot I was there and needed a verification. Weird, I know... but true. It was a rad show and I remember almost crying during "Don't Lie." What a fucking tune, what a day, what a venue, what a cool ass show. Wow.
