Cuban refused and drafted tyler zeller and immediately traded him to keep cap space open for dwight fruit fly howard. we got luka so i guess it worked out but man…. a misfire like letting nash walk to sign Erick Dampier.. like refusing to resign brunson for 4y $55M TWICE and watching him walk for NYC…

The raptors know development. Masai has an awesome eye for talent and for good human beings. That’s a lost art. Look at most of the guys drafted by Toronto. Pascal, OG, Fred, norm,delon, JV, Jacob P, Scottie B, precious, the list goes on and on. Next up? Ulrich chomche. 18 year old centre out of Africa. 6’11” and can do a bit of everything. If he’s there at 31 raps Take him 100% (2024 draft)

Unpopular opinion: Masai is good at drafting, not at building teams that can win it all. I know he won with the raptors, but I feel confident to say that those Philadelphia 76ers and injured Golden State were two lucky match up for that team.

Appears to have worked out for them. They got a championship not too long after this. Nothing is guaranteed, so we can’t say for certain whether raps would have won a chip with Kyle, Demar and Giannis. They definitely wouldn’t have been able to keep up with 3 point shoutouts versus the dynasty in golden state. But maybe they could have locked em up. Who knows?
