Rusty 2001 Mercury Cougar part 1
มุมมอง 936 ปีที่แล้ว
To day on Ponish projects we are working on a 2001 Mercury Cougar that belongs to my fiance, the Rockers are completely gone along with some of the subframe. Watch us rebuild this car with recycled steel it should be fun.
Apocalyptic scooter
มุมมอง 587 ปีที่แล้ว
Welcome to ponish projects is the first video on this channel sorry for the bad editing skills will improve soon This project is apocalyptic scooter what if the world ended and you had no other form of transportation than a crappy a scooter this is what you should do or maybe you shouldn't
What a waste of time effort and money
Oh my Jesus hose clamp hell that pipe ain’t going anywhere with that one lb of boost
Do you really think you adding HP with this toy you killing that poor engine with this piece of junk that's for a 2 cylinder engine not even a 4 cylinder but is a good idea to bolt it in a 6 cylinder or a 8 cylinder
That AMR charger is too small for 4.3, they are really only good to like 100hp engines and lower. Pretty much 1.3 to 1.8 engines max.
No way I’m believing this.
Vacuum may be pulling this blower
Says Mimi. Had to click to figure out if was something I had not heard of.
😂😂😂 Waaaay too small of a blower for a 4.3, not doing anything but hurting that thing.
With non restricted inlet and outlets the 500 only flows 220cfm lol at 18,000 rpm
And how mutch lost in power.
Im still confused on the AMR500 supercharger Why doesn't it give more horsepower
Que bela mer.a
E tá montado errado, não tem vedação adequada o sistema está sem pressão!
How does it run
I have a 4cyl S10 I plan on putting one of these on, I just dont understand why they make so much damn noise at idle, might be better off with that $2500.00 electric turbo charger that is dyno proven and provided the test vehicle,a 4cyl chevy cobalt with 5 psi at the time of testing, but $2500 vs $150/$200 I may have to deal with noise lol.
crazy this is coming across my feed now, I saw you years ago at a scrap yard hauling stuff in and you showed me the engine setup on it.
What is it supposed to do beside make that thing an absolute dog now
What is the idle RPM?
I’d add 5 more to be safe..
Where do you get them I want to put two of them on my 4.3 Lol dose it work ?
4.3 isn't going to appreciate this too much look at it compared to the m90 of the 3800
You almost certainly lost power with that little hair dryer.
No…that thing won’t even boost a 2.2 let alone a 4.3. Garbage
dude they make pro chargers specifically made for the 4.3. why are you crippling your engine. you probably lost 20% -30% hp instead of gaining
Now I wanna see it
that one of those superchargers madefor MAX 2.0L 4 banger, it exactly like a AMR500 they are noisy basterds!
A waste of money for that supercharger. This supercharger isn't going to produce enough airflow to make Power on that big engine.
Literally just a belt driven kazoo acting as a restriction
😂😂😂 bro I was thinking of buying one of these because I’m afraid of too much boost will explode my engine, but these are a joke 😂
@@DimasMechanics imagine running 8 of these on a v8 but mounted like ITBs with a crazy belt drive lol maybe the. It will make 3psi of boost haha
@@senditc20 bro that be the worst useless set up ever 😂
@@DimasMechanics but the most fun to watch itself grenade into a million pieces on a 305 lmao 🤣
@@senditc20these do a surprisingly good job of feeding a 2l, which is around 124cid, at 10psi. x3 would be a 6l, right around 372cid, pretty big for a smallblock. if you run more than 3, it would take less to drive each one and you would generate less heat, but im not sure what the sweet spot would be. id probably start with paired cylinders running 4. it would work for sure, im just not sure what the efficiency would be. whole lotta extra gears and rotational wright youd be spinning at that point
How much boost
- minus 6 lbs.
Carburador?
THIS SOUNDS LIKE LAWN MOWER LOL
I would be surprised if the 4.3l didn't lose power
It probably does. There’s a kid here on TH-cam that put one on his 2.2 Dodge Shadow, and it hurt his eighth mile time.
It absolutely does, anything more than about 1.6l it's simply a restriction
Is that the amr500 or the sc14 and is it making boost on the 4.3 plz let me know about to do similar build
It's the amr500 and I'm confident it doesn't make any boost whatsoever, they're meant for very small engines, hard to even make boost with them on a del sol
It’s not a amr500 it’s a different style supercharger it’s made for 2-3.5 liter engines
You know they make a bigger one right? That thing is screaming just at idle lol
thats a good sign. its very undersized, they might be overdriving it to get good boost down low, and never plan on reving it out. driven at a normal speed, that blower cant feed a motor this size
Love to see the efficiency of that thing. Probably pushing 45%?
there is no way that thing is making ANY boost 😂
🤦🤣🤣
Es un súper Charger dónde lo puedo conseguir ?
That belt definitely a finger snatcher
What a waste it's for a 2.0 not a 4.3 L if anything it is restriction if it even could handle it's placement it probably exploded
2-3.5 liter not only 2 but it’s still not enough
Can you show us or tell us if there’s any power gains
Too big of a engine for that supercharger unfortunately
That shit don’t work not the way it’s installed
This are rated up to 2.4 liter engines....may want to add a second one.
Or 3rd
Eaton m90 🤷🏻
They really aren't even big enough for a 2l engine despite what the ads tell you.
I watched a video where a 1600 VW Beatle gained maybe 20 rear wheel horsepower.
Needs more Hose clamps
More than likely that is just a restriction on that engine
Exacto. Es muy pequeño ese súper cargador es para un 4 cilindros
A big restriction.
Every revolution that supercharger makes it moves 500cc of air. That's a big fuckin pulley, but I'll be generous and say it's 2 to 1. Every 720° 2 rotations of crankshaft rotation that engine is gonna want 4,300cc of air. Every 720° 2 rotations at the crank the supercharger will rotate 1440° 4 rotations. That means while the motor is asking for 4300cc of air the supercharger can only deliver 2000cc of air
@@buildingracingvideos4714it’s actually needing to have a pulley change to reach the 3600 max rpm.
@@buildingracingvideos4714 500 cc of air? That's not how that works. The size of a supercharger is measured by the displacement of the entire unit as it sits. It's not a rating of how much air it moves. I have an E-FORCE H122 on my 71 Camaro. That's 122 cubic inches of displacement. The pulley ratio is 1.87:1. If what you're saying were true, it would only flow 228 cubic inches of air per revolution. 😂 How exactly does it produce 5 psi on my 350 cubic inch engine? How much air a supercharger moves is completely dependent on the design and RPM. It has little to do with the displacement the company labels it as. Obviously a larger displacement supercharger will flow more than an equally designated equivalent smaller supercharger at the same RPM but go from a 2 lobe rotor design to 3 lobes, or to a twin screw design and that displacement number gets thrown out of the window.
Can u use this on 350 5.7 crate motor
You shouldn't be messing with power adders if youre asking that question. These amr 500s support up to 2200 cc or 2.2 l. So please do some math and research before you ask a newb question.
I'm throwing one in mine just for the fuck of it.
I think it hurts you more than it helps you.I suggest you remove everything you will walk better.
You need another one.
Doing absolutely nothing trust me. 1 The blower that size is for nothing more than a 2.4L max. 2 A carb hat is not acceptable for boost it will leak air like a bitch. You have to have a charge pipe hat. 3 Looks to be a huge air filter hanging off the side not sure wtf that was.
I was look for this comment
No way it made boost that thing will send it in too vacuum at wide open throttle lol
Yeah indeed. Unless... American engines really have a volumetric efficiency of 30%
This on a b16 honda engine stop making boost at 4000 rpms, it will surely not make any boost at all on this engine and probably even lost power from it from air restriction.
And that's why you buy a Eaton they get her done
A 4.3 TBI only revs to roughly 3500rpm. So this might actually work
