So glad to see some S46 love. It’s honestly very close and very tough to call which is better but I lean towards 46 being better because I love chaos and conflict in my Survivor lol. 46 is up there with Gabon and Panama as an entertaining mess
Hah - I think mess is something that can be factored in for sure, but that's actually why I give 46 the nod strategically...because it wasn't so straight forward. It was a lot of shake-ups, and surviving those shake-ups I think was impressive by the players. 47 I thought was a little more simple. Big targets went first, and generally went in the expected order (Gabe, Sam/Sierra, Kyle, etc.) without a lot of variance up until Operation Italy.

47 > 46 Jem, Hunter, Tiffany, Venus and Q all voted out holding idols does not equate to great strategy. It's a list of people who can't read the room and are playing a future TC rather than the TC they are in .
Why doesn't it equate to great strategy if the other players are the ones who made them feel so safe that they didn't even have to use the idols? I see your perspective of course, but I don't want that side of it discounted either that other players worked hard to bamboozle those players & had them thinking they could stretch their idol 1 more tribal.

I recently discovered your channel, and I really like it. Like you, I really enjoyed Sam's game. I even thought it was a bit overlooked by people. He was the best in the FTC. But Rachel was the right winner. But I'm glad Kyle gave Sam a vote and made him second place. He deserved it.

13:08 they may have changed it in recent years, but I know that in previous seasons, third place got $85,000, and people who tied for third each got $92,500. So Kyle essential gave Sam $7,500 with his vote, which is not a big difference in the grand scheme of things, but it’s still a good chunk of change. I’m also glad Kyle did it, Sam definitely deserved 2nd.
I don't know what the pay scale is, but hey he definitely made some cash for it! And you're right, Sam earned the extra bump in his gameplay IMO

@survivorsuperfuntime I'll be here. One thing you touched on, and especially regarding Teeny, was that she gave Sam every opportunity to be an a******. He never once, even when he was going through all that stuff on Fiji, ever did what you expect people nowadays to do. He's a nice guy and he really stayed a nice guy, as far as I saw. So he might not have been first, but it's not necessarily true the nice guys finish last. Look forward to more content!
@@byronbrewer33 Absolutely - Sam universally was nice during the whole situation. He could've easily not been so nice about Teeny taking it on him, but he showed grace the whole time. I'm glad Teeny's fine, Sam's fine, etc etc because no one wants to leave the game with hate.

survivor 50 should have 27 days and only final 2 it would make the final two episode more exciting to watch .
Survivor 50 no matter what will probably be awesome so that's cool I think. I'm excited for whatever is to come in that cast.

Looks like a really interesting cast ahead, for sure! Big personalities and I'd imagine purple is the interesting tribe.
I've been watching since season 2 and Rachel played one of the best all-around game ever. She was a challenge beast, socially she was on the mark and played every advantage perfectly, especially her shot in the dark. She 100% deserved the win!
Rachel had a pretty good game, but there's one major aspect she lacked that discounts her heavily in my book: control She, based on what we could see, didn't seem to call too many shots for most of the game. That's where I give lots of kudos to some other players throughout history over her. But she did verywell!
After her safety without power gift, Rachel had control over her own game, and took out the players she needed to by winning immunity,perfectly playing all of her advantages and having a great social game, in my humble opinion @@survivorsuperfuntime

Ok after watching finale part 1 again, I really like Sue. She played the game with loyalty and she kept secrets including her own. I’d be fine with her taking it from Sam and Rachel!

Good point on Teeny re Sam. Sam IS nice, even in Fuji. She reminds me of DC Comics and movie fans who dont understand how cool Superman is and his kindness, born in the cornfields of Smalltown, is part of his cool. He doesn't belong in a black suit like Batman with his fiery heat vision making him look like a Japanese anime villain. Teeny was trying to tear Ssm down, but him realizing her reasoning actually lifted him up. Good point you make here!

I thought after his Operation Italy that Andy was going to come into his own after such a bum start that the production edit gave great attention to. But after one of the best and most strategic moves in Survivor history, Andy became his own worst enemy as so many of us do wanting the approval of someone he thought was going to be on the jury soon. He couldn't wait till it was time to impress the jury and by doing so probably gave Rachel her place among the finalists. I like Sam and have liked Sam since this season began, which doesn't bode well for our boy because no one I like usually wins. From Rudy forward. But I am still cheering him on. Love that you did a rite of passage which I will watch next. It was always a calm before the emotional storm and for the most part I always enjoyed it. So many little things have vanished from this new version of Survivor, I was overjoyed to see the return of the Survivor Auction. What a fun segment. Thanks for a good video.

I said she deserved to win like 10 times - I just think Sam *will* win Rachel's played well, but I do think people are putting her in as some strategic God...depending on how it ends, I'd have her 3rd in New Era wins probably.
What has Sam done but be at the mercy of the tribe since the merge and his ally Sierra voted out? He won 1 reward challenge. Yay. I'm confused. Even Andy's game is waaaay better.
Are challenges how you measure success in the game? I find it to be pretty impressive Sam, despite being a big target, has made his way to the finals without immunity necklaces or idols. Big W IMO.

I'm going to hold your hand as I say this...
my problem with sam winning against sue and teeny is who are they going to prop up to make the FTC suspenseful? Even when there's a clear winner the edit usually tries to prop up one of the losing contestants and try to pretend they have a chance. Even Boston Rob vs. the goatiest goats in redemption island kept hinting that phillip has some awesome bombshell for FTC that would flip the game on its head. Sue and Teeny have nothing really unless they devote a good portion of the finale to one of them. That's my fear about sam - he's only getting this last minute hype because he loses and they're trying to make Rachel's coronation more suspenseful.

Based off of the preview clips it seems like F3 are Rachel, Sam, and Sue. The single shots on that beach that looks similar to the shots from previous seasons F3 confessionals. It didn't show Teeny with any of those shots, which makes me think she loses in fire - which the show has kind of hinted towards her being in the fire challenge. Your scenario is a lot more entertaining!! But it's so hard for me to see Rachel not winning with the edit she's gotten. I'm fine with either a Rachel or Sam win!

I hate how firemaking has become so important. Like, sure, it was cool and innovative how Chris U put himself into fire after winning immunity, but that was 1. The first time that happened 2. The others on EOE told him he had to because 3. He came back in at the end after being voted out super early. I feel like New Era juries forget the specifics and just think/remember, “Chris won. Chris put himself into fire. Therefore, you need to put yourself into fire if you want to win.” That’s how Charlie lost/Kenzie won Maria’s vote last season. So I think you’re right, if Sam puts himself into fire his chances of winning skyrocket
But ironically at the same time New Era Final Immunity winners try to play that meta and it doesn’t help them at all (e.g., Heidi) so 🤷♂️ 🤣
I guess that’s sort of my take on Sam - he’s a Heidi or a Jake type; he’s tried many times but nothing has really panned out for him. I guess the main difference that could help him is how strong he was in the premerge

Thanks for the good observations. I think Rachel’s game really looked good during this final stretch. I agree that Sam or Rachel will win. Sue and Teeny really have not been able to do anything to distinguish them as winner.

Rachel has been such a smart player. I mean ..wow..what she did with her shot in the dark will go down in Survivor infamy. She’s a challenge beast. Strategy wise, no surprise there she’s great. Would love to see her win. Sam is a fighter! He’s scratched and clawed his way to the end. I can relate to that in my life and I think that’s what I would like to see him win. Doing what he has to do to get him to the next vote. Gotta respect that. He’s my pick!
