I'm a nerd. Especially about business topics. I'll post videos when I can.
Taco Bell | The Rise and Fall, then Rise AGAIN
I’ve been reading up on Glen Bell (Taco Bell founder) to try and understand what kind of person gives birth to a fast-food empire. Unlike Ray Kroc (McDonald's), Glen Bell didn’t screw over honest hard-working company founders in the name of expedience, ego, or greed. Bell bootstrapped his businesses by slowly building off small successes. At only 23-years-old spent the first few years of his entrepreneurial career starting not one, but four hamburger stands, two different taquerias, and one miniature golf course. I particularly like the miniature gold course part of this story because it just seems so random. Hopefully, this video will give you what it gave me as I researched it; deep insight into the life of one of American’s great but rarely talked about entrepreneurs, and how his company overcame obstacles to become the behemoth it is today.

Bring back the original menu… I miss tostadas and beef burritos with real ground beef.🌮
"pointers from a fellow restaurant owner"?? Bell was a fan of the hard shell tacos served across the street at an authentic Mexican restaurant. Bell perfected the method to prepare many tacos at once.
Only clicked to say you’re copying the Company-man channel.
Taco Bell is my favorite restaurant, sorry, taco assembler, love me some TACO BELL!
Calling Glen Bell a "chef in WWII" is like calling Taco Bell authentic Mexican Food. He was simply a cook in the Marines during the war after graduating High School in 1941.
you dont really buy taco bell you just rent it
During summer vacations from school, I used to ride my bike to the closest Taco Bell near where we lived pretty much everyday for a bean burrito and bell burger. This was when they had the old walk-up locations with outdoor seating and fire pits. There are still some of these old style buildings around except they are no longer Taco Bell locations. I still go to a local Taco Bell where I live now once in awhile that was completely renovated a few years ago. Taco Bell used to be cheap eats, but now it has gotten fairly expensive for the mediocre fast food they serve. They still serve Pepsi drinks though!
I can't believe that you failed to mention the impact that the value menu campaign had on the resurgence of this franchise.
Taco Bell never dipped in my eyes. Always the king. Still my all time favorite fast food joint. Not a fan that 3 taco supremes are $10 now. Used to be about $3 or $4 back when I was bangin'.
This is a very good video. I was thinking abt making a video abt the rise/fall of tacos so I search it up and turns out it’s been done already. You did better than what I could do tbh good job 😁
now its rise, fall, rise again, fall again, ruse yet again in 2023 😂😂
Great video!!!
As an American American, I am very proud to learn about Glen Bell, so proud of his Mid-west roots. Shout out to the Mid-west. To see an American American do so well in the Taco Business is amazing.
San Bernardino is "Mid-West"? Some 70 miles from the Pacific Ocean, who knew!
Glen Bell was born, lived in, and died in California. Lol
nice
Your title is similar to Company Man
How did this channel not explode into extreme popularity?
Awww shucks! The way he asked for a like i had to give him one😊
Dude ruined taco bell!! I worked there in the 80's, wore that ugly shirt 😅 it was great!❤❤❤ Everything made fresh ❤
I'm so stoned that I found myself on this side of the internet and seriously just watched this whole video.
John Martin IS John Spartan!(Demolition Man FTW).
The new generations just love taco bell I remember going to taco bell after school and your dollar is value there
you ought be able to buy direct from the manufacturer of the food and assemble your own tacos at home.
Had no idea that the “bell” in Taco Bell was his name. Never heard of him, but glad he created a successful business and brand, and was able to sell it for a huge win.
I LOVE Taco Bell!!! it’s my favorite fast food company. I remember my dad taking me to Taco Bell in the 80s. I would get so excited. 😃
I’d honestly try the bell burger I love McDonald’s and Taco Bell but combined it’s ingenious wonder what happened to 🤔
I enjoyed watching this video A LOT more than I've enjoyed eating Taco Bell since Pepsi sold it to what would become Yum (more like 'Yuck,' but I digress) brands in 1997. I'm truly happy if people reading my comment enjoy Taco Bell's fare; it's just not for me anymore. More Taco Bell for everyone else, right? : )
Great video!!
Loved the video!
More videos. Your a only a few away from being huge
I know who he is and even bought his Autobiography back in 1996.
I had the Taco Bell Chihuahua plushies when I was a preschooler
Watched this while eating leftover Taco Bell 😏
Tacobell is still pretty consistent, the portions are just getting smaller
Wow
Horse meat is expensive
Time for you to start your TH-cam empire bruh
Watched this entire video in a taco bell drive thru.
Great video!
Taco Bell in the early 90s were much better than today's Taco Bell.. I preferred Taco Bell in the 90s than Taco John's, however I preferred Taco John's today than Taco Bell aka Taco Hell.. I've worked for a Taco Bell and their meat doesn't look like real meat
Keep making videos bro! Email me so we can work together!
Wow that shows how much Taco Bell has been through
This video ruined Taco Bell for me
Great video, thanknyou for the information!
What about the Mexican music at the end?

Great job on this
For anyone that has a chance to go to the two story taco bell on the vegas strip. I would recommend going. They are pricey but still a fun experience.
