Patch Reef Fishing 12-31-24 Shark Eats Pat's Barracuda
We head out for the last day of Grouper Season in the Atlantic off of Key Largo. We struggle with mackerel and other toothy critters but persistence finally pays off. We catch Cero Mackerel, Mutton Snapper, Barracuda, and Red Grouper. See some crazy action as Pat catches a large barracuda that gets eaten whole by a shark!

We try yet again for grouper before the season close. We encounter a massive shark that appears to be a 15 ft. (4.6 m) Tiger Shark. What a thrill and a great day of fishing with my Dad!

Patience pays off and Pat lands a nice Red Grouper early in the day. Slow current and slow bite all day. Engine oil alarm forced the Optimax 225 into limp mode on the way in and we were nearly eaten alive my no see ums.
