Trying Out Seat Covers for My Chevy Silverado - LUCKYMAN CLUB Silverado Seat Covers
A quick evaluation of seat covers for my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. These are the LUCKYMAN CLUB seat covers for 2007-2023 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500/2500/3500 HD Crew Double Regular Cab made of waterproof faux leather. I purchased the full set (front and rear seats) for my double cab truck. The fitment of the front seats met expectations. However, the rear seat fitment did not.
Because there is no access behind the seats, attachment of the covers for the rear seat backs is insufficient. In addition, the set is universal for both the Silverado/Sierra double cab and crew cab. I believe the crew cab has a larger rear seat, thus the covers are designed to fit that seat. The result is that they are slightly too large for the rear seats in the double cab. I cannot confirm if the fitment would be better in the crew cab as I don't have such a pickup truck to test them with.
After three weeks of evaluation, I returned the set to Amazon and purchased only the front pair, as the front seat fitment was acceptable. It turns out that I don't really need covers for the rear seats as I never have passengers in the rear except for my golden retriever, Eddie, and he sits on the floor with the rear seats in the up position all the time anyway.

Rebuilding a Craftsman 5hp Chipper/Shredder - Will It Run?
มุมมอง 3.8Kปีที่แล้ว
Getting an old Craftsman/MTD chipper/shredder running again. The last time it was used it didn't chip or shred very well. Replacement of the cutting components internally are overdue. However, because it has been sitting idle for so long, it no longer runs so a diagnosis and repair of the 5hp Briggs & Stratton will also be required. The engine in this machine is a Briggs & Stratton model number...

Building a Cheap Custom Windshield for My EZ-GO Golf Cart

My EZ-Go Marathon golf cart needs a replacement windshield. I built a custom windshield on the cheap using PVC pipe and Plexiglass. The construction consists of the frame with 3/4" PCV pipe and elbows with the straight pipe...
Changing Oil in 3 Point Auger Gearbox (the hard way)
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I bought a used 3-point auger / post hole digger to use with my Kubota B2301 tractor. Before using it extensively I decided to change the oil in the gearbox. More angle on the blade. Spray some diesel on the blade and try to scour it or sand it. As you use blade it will work better.

I’ve used electric wood splitters for a few years now and I wouldn’t recommend standing, let alone putting a foot on a log, in the travel direction of the ram. I’ve had logs big and small get thrown in that direction like a cannon. It would easily smash a leg. Not to be toyed with. Be safe!

Impressed that it split rounds way larger than to 10” manufacturers limit. I have several Pine rounds about 17”-18” diameter about the same length. Thought I would need to rent or buy a much larger splitter to deal with it but I will give this low cost one a go.

I worked at a Kubota dealership and at 50 hours we changed ALL fluids. Your transmission oil would then be good for 400 hours or whatever you said but the first 50 hour service all fluids and filters get changed out, in case there is any metal shavings from manufacturing left over

I think that is very sound advice. I just did the same with my new Polaris Ranger even though most people think I’m crazy. I like knowing that I have the right amount of the proper clean fluid in my machine and it gives you a chance to check for particulates as you suggested.

For years I ran a series of 48" bush hogs behind a 17hp Bolens G174. It had three PTO gears and the 720 range seemed the most likely for mowing. It certainly worked well on the Woods finish mower which came with it. So I spun the bush hogs at 720 and got pretty good results. When I bought a more powerful Kubota with 540 pto, the quality of the cut diminished drastically.

Great job on bringing that old girl back to life. I just got one at a garage sale for 20 bucks. It runs great but the chipper blades are done. In my area we have ethanol free fuel at the gas station. I always use it in my small engines and it doesn't eat up the fuel systems.

The problem i encountered after purchasing the quick hitch, new top hook, and bushing's is it's only Category 0 compliant. I found the 5/8 lifting pins to be undersized and extremely lose fitting on my 3 point lift arms. The 5/8 lifting pins are only rated for Category O and tractor's up to 20 horsepower. I found the undersized pins to be the deal breaker. I don't know why they designed the hitch with such small pins - very disappointed.

I just bought a Stihl post hole digger, you have to wrestle it a bit but saves messing around with the installation of this tractor auger. I quite enjoy using it. If you are only doing one big job, fencing for example, I would rent one of those hydraulic post hole diggers from Homedepot if I didn't have the Stihl. I don't rate augers on the back of tractors at all and front augers are seriously expensive - around $2500 from what I saw this week at the Kubota dealer.

I assume you are talking about the blades not spinning when you engage the PTO. Check the drive belt. If it is an electric PTO, it won't engage if there isn't a load on the system and could indicate a broken blade drive belt.
