    Odd question any wayyou could tell this bed apart from a normal 8ft? Is it exactly 9ft front corner to back corner? Any welding spots that might be noticable? I have some questions if you could. I may know where this exact reading utility box is at and that would be wild if it is.

    I understand your excitement about going to your first job, but I do have a little constructive criticism. The hand rail is not a viable tiedown point. I hope you have since figured that out on your own without a police officer pointing out your error. Good job one the excavation.

    I have a 2001 Yamaha LS 2000 and both engine s started 2 days ago and run great, but the shift cable and steering cable were seized. I called boat us and towed the boat at the ramp where I could load it on my trailer. When he arrived, the boat was full of water (Dead battery and bilge was not working). Both engines were halfway covered with water. I charged the battery but neither engine turn. I was able to turn the engines from the cleanout port and are turning. I am waiting to dry out and see if will kick. Shall I pull the starters out and see if are working? Open for advice. Thank you.

    I picked up a 1995 Dodge 3500 cab and chassis truck that has a 9 foot Ohama service box on it, while the truck is in great condition for being 28 years old the bed is bad. Like really bad. I'm considering if replacing the bed with a decent one might be cheaper and easier

    After watching multiple videos about the placement of the thumb I think you need to have it at least two to three inches lower so that it meshes with your bucket teeth. That piece of wood you picked up the thumb grabbed only part of it other thumbs I have seen the operator is able to pick up a branch 1/2 inch in diameter what's yours won't do. Other than that great job!

    Nice repair. I have the same boat (1999 model). Working on it for two years. This boat model is very susceptible to vapor lock in the summer. Meaning engine requires a lot of cranking to start if you stop the engine in the middle of the lake after running the engine for some time so engine is hot. Adding a fuel pump to make sure cold fuel is always circulating from the tank and back helps a lot to solve this nasty problem ... it is not really a boat but a boat project .... That "something" that you refer to looks to me like a heat switch that turns of the engine if it gets too hot. User and service manuals are available online. Good luck ...

    Great build, kudos to you!! I've been thinking a lot about hydraulic vs. static thumb and it seems to me like the advantage of hydraulic is when you pick up small stuff straight off the ground like you did there. The disadvantage of hydraulic is that when you do straight digging, I wanna do a away with the thumb altogether and static is quicker and more robust to disassemble. Also with the hydraulic it would appear to not press to hard against it with the shovel, since the shovel probalbly has much more power and you could damage the thumb cylinder. Am I totally off or does that sound about right? Are you happy you went with the hydraulic?

    The dam food guy ! Lol I got to remember that one .. well done this is one of the better bucket builds out there . One question , why didn’t you convert to quick connect style just curious? I have a Terex hr16 I bought couple years ago but the quick connect on Terex is similar to Wain-Roy but the release is not the best design thinking about changing over to a pin grabber style, really only worth it if your changing between buckets or attachments multiple times a day. Keep up the good builds !

    • @ericellinger8832
      @ericellinger8832 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate it. Honestly I am just trying to limit the amount of possibilities that can go wrong when I'm out on the job. My luck it would break mid-day. I don't use the machine everyday ( like once a week maybe) and the buckets are so light I can change them pretty quick. Once I buy a bigger machine I will definitely be using a quick change.
