Hey Adam! Cosmic Brian here. Glad to make your acquaintance. Glad I’ve been watching these garage rock tags so I could stumble upon your channel which I did sub to. I’ll check out your other vids as well. Cool records I love garage punk and show a good share of that stuff and psychedelic LPs also. I’ll have to check out that album with the singer for the No Talents. It looks cool kind of a homage to the Whipped cream cover of Herb Albert LoL. That Beaver Trappers 45 is awesome I picked that up awhile back and you’re right it sounds great. I dug this take on the Garage Tag! ✌️👽
Great response on the tag, still figuring out what to choose, but I will work it out somehow...keep the records spinning, cheers
I'm looking into the book you suggested, I'm new to your channel.
its a great book, its both a story of his life with some record reviews thrown in, thanks for the support, cheers!
Awesome video. Showed some amazing records but im slightly confused about one thing. Not sure if i understood you. Did you say you dont know who The Spits are? You know every punk band in the world.
I actually got it from them at one of their shows, the picture on the poster is some other dudes that are not the Spits but they put their name on it, I have no idea who is in the picture because I forgot to ask them
@ADMx2545 ah got ya. That makes sense. Cause I watched every video you posted so far and I knew that there was no way you haven't heard The Spits. Anyway, love your Chanel. Keep showing off them nasty punk rock records.
Great picks on Punk Vinyl Tag! TK box is gold! True, old pressings are louder. The finnish mastering guy that made almos all records here in 70-80s told in the book, that bands wanted records to be loud. But the records loss base then. I like the sound of 80s pressings! Need to check that danish teen band, hey I am born in Copenhagen.
thank you for the explanation for that boxset, it makes sense, I like the old sound also and kinda wish they kept it. I did forget to mention that teen band also has the future singer of white lion, cheers! th-cam.com/video/jvaZykC6TRQ/w-d-xo.html
@@ADMx2545 It is same thing almost all modern reissues of local punk and hardcore.
Awesome stack of records, I’ll have to check out Warhawk and G.O.D. Cheers brother
Warhawk is definitly worth a listen, cheers!
I got that Genetic Control album as well. Didn't even know the band but a friend told me that it's a killer ep and so I trusted him and it's worth every penny. Don't know can you even get that anywhere anymore. Rudi Peni rules! Subbed! Cheers from Finland!
the label that reissued the Genetic Control ep has kept it in print and you are right its worth every penny, cheers!
Awesome video bro
thanks for the support, cheers!
Great to see some unique albums! That Sonics original is cool too see. Mine is a reissue from the 80 - but I'm still glad to have it. Lots of good memories attached to that album. Cheers!
I'm new to this VC thing, most of the videos I've seen always show reissues so I thought it might get attention to the tag, thanks for the support, cheers!
@ I will usually go for originals myself. Just more fun to collect. Although, occasionally I just accept the reissue with the prices going through the roof. A few garage rock channels you may enjoy are Deadwax66 and another - Bipbopboom. Cool channels and really cool guys. On Friday night there is a live stream on Stuntrockconfusion’s channel. Mostly avant-garde, post-punk, drone. Very outsider music but interesting. Stunty sure knows his stuff. VinylRichie focuses on punk and he knows his music, for sure. PsychDerek has some great videos. Mostly psychedelic rock but overlaps into garage rock. Anyway, Just a few channels you may enjoy. Cheers! Shawn
Nice picks. I am not in garage rock... maybe only those more in punk. Certainly don't have those early 60s records.
I do like some garage, metal, glam, and goth also, but punk has always been my main focus.
@ADMx2545 for me it is Finnish hardcore in place #1 for ever.
Hey Adam! Thanks for jumping on this and that's a HELL of a collection you got there. Punk is such a blind spot for me (except the Dead Boys because oh the Ohio connection). Amazing stuff - you're entered!
Ohio put out some great stuff, Rocket from the Tombs, Pagans, Toxic Reasons are some good ones to check out if you havn't heard them, thanks for running the contest, it was fun, Cheers!
great tag.. nice sonics lps.. i'll do my tag shortly.
Hey man thanks for doing a response, those Sonics OGs are awesome, I’m from the town the Sonics are from so every once in a while I see an OG but it’s in the 200 - 300 range. If it has the purple etiquette label it’s a 67 reissue I believe. I think my copy of that wailers is stereo. No talents are awesome!
almost all those Sonics I got at bookstores, random junk shops in the NW, before there were so many reissues. one of those Wailers I got at goodwill in Ballard, and the Sonics purple label at jive time in fremont when they first opened about 20 years ago, everything else I found in random places where I wasn't expecting records, sometimes you dig and get lucky, cheers!
@ Jive time is great, did you ever go to singles going steady? Are you from the PNW? I’m from Tacoma
@@block-head2982 Singles is awesome, it was one of my favorite stores when I lived there. yep PNW, wish I could still afford to live there
Wow that blessed single is crazy, really wish they would reissue that. Happy new year!
in 2008 when I was still looking for the Blessed single I found the email address for the label and wrote them, they had a website at the time, " Just found a box of Blessed singles. Let me know if you are still interested. david", was the last response I got from them. I ended up finding one shortly after, hopefully someone reissues it or distributes that box if it exists. Happy New Year, cheers!
Killer stack of records. Happy 2025 brother. Cheers
Happy New Year! Cheers!
Great to see Maukka Perusjätkä and Widows here. Säpinää is one of the very 1st punk songs that I heard and saw when it was on TV in 1979. Widows are still playing actively. Last time I saw them with Lama. Always great to see punk singles. Be ready for Punk Vinyl Tag 2025.
the second I heard that Widows in the record store I had to have it, that is awesome they are still playing. I've been collecting both LPs and singles equally for decades its hard to just show albums when there are so many great singles also. will be on lookout for punk vinyl tag, Happy New year, cheers!
@ADMx2545 Singles and Eps are essential in Punk. I have more punk 7"s than LPs. Mostly hardcore.
Stooges is a great pick for best. Other than myself, I have never seen anyone show Splat Cats. Copulation is a great comp. Hypnotics is even greater.
thank you, I think that Splatcats is pretty overlooked but its a great record, cheers!
I go back and forth between machine gun etiquette and the first damned album as my favorite. Planet of the apes rules! The second one is kind of lame though. The underground mutants and the Charlton Heston blows up earth because he dosent want to do apes movies anymore.
I went looking for Damned records when I was a kid and found Machine Gun Etiquette instead of their first album so that was the one that always stuck with me most, I can't speak for Charlton but I think the rest of the movies were pretty good without him, thanks for watching cheers!
Woah thanks for the shoutout man! Wow Sonics for a quarter that’s awesome. I think the first two Sonics albums were recorded in mono so it’s probably weird goofy fake stereo. Here in Tacoma a local store has 2 originals of the first Sonics Album for 300 each, crazy. I go by the building where the etiquette records office used to be all the time. It’s a Hawaiian restaurant now
Kazenetz Katz is cool, did not realize quick Joey small was a cover, I know it from slaughter and the dogs. Richard berry! Yeah! He also wrote have love will travel. Great only ones find, that’s hard to get ahold of Iv never seen one. Wanderers has been reissued but I think that’s getting pricey too
Wow that was awesome you got everything covered. The dogs comp is great, I have a reissue of there first 45 but that’s it. What was Denmark you showed it so quick I could hardly see it. I did not realize Elton motello was from Belgium that’s cool. Gentlemen of horror is awesome, I found out about them through Joaquim
Denmark I showed Lost Kids Bla Bla LP, I realized afterwards I should have been saying what the record were and did not for alot of them. thanks for watching, cheers!
@ cool I will check out lost kids thanks!
Pet cemetery is just a song that seems unnecessary to cover to me
Afrika Korps is awesome Iv been trying to hunt down that first album. I got that gizmos comp this year, half of it I really like half I thought ehh. Stones all the way. Need to get some pointed sticks records. Joaquims channel is awesome
all the pointed sticks singles were reissued as a 12" not too long ago on sudden death so you might be able to get all of them at a decent price, the 2nd half of that gizmos is demos and outtakes. Afrika Korps did more than one record, the others are worth checking out also. and yes I agree, Joaquims got an awesome channel.thanks for watching, cheers!
what a stupid azz question about the weed. whoever wrote those questions is pretty lame
Nice picks for Vinyl Tag. Great Switchblade Sisters poster in background. I love Jack Hill's movies and I released and distributed his Spider Baby here back in VHS times. Joaquim's channel is top in punk in YT.
Spider Baby was great movie that's awesome you were able to get it distributed in Finland, the switchblade sisters poster is an original Jezebels poster but since they changed the title halfway through screening they pasted the new title onto a bunch of the already printed posters which I always thought was interesting, thanks for watching, cheers!
@ADMx2545 Switchblade Sisters are definitely better name. Cool item!
Another great stack of records, on a strange note the PVC debut has been on my turntable for the last couple weeks. Thanks for the shoutout brother Cheers
the PVC LP has been on constant rotation since I got it a few months ago but that Rudolph Dietrich has now taken its place and I really wish I had picked it up years ago when I last saw one, my top pick for the year was going to be the Alvilda LP but due to pressing plant issues I'm still waiting for my order, thanks for watching, Cheers!
@I’ll have to look into Rudolph Dietrich sounds familiar but not ringing a bell. Alvilda it’s in my shopping cart lol Cheers brother
Great stack of records, many of my favorites, glad to see UHF and Histeria mentioned here. Awesome video!!! Cheers brother
Awesome! The most thorough of all the entries, by far! You just about hit every country. Great job- you are entered!
thank you for the motivation, and thanks for watching, cheers!
Wow, what a collection of punk & hardcore around the world. Loved those 7"s and ofcourse thumbs up for Vendetta. I am still on hunt for it.
that Vendetta was not an easy one to track down, I should probably do a video on finnish or swedish punk rock at some point which would include a lot of 7"s, thanks for watching, cheers!
@ADMx2545 I would love to see your finnish collection and swedish too.
Thanks for the shout out.
thanks for the heads up on the contest, and thanks for watching, cheers!
New subscriber here! Keep up the good work, cheers mate
Thanks for the support, cheers!
Awesome to see the Wanderers. Great band and great album that doesn't seem to get the love it deserves.
I totally agree, I passed on this one a few times over the years not realizing what it was, you can't always judge a record by the cover, thanks for watching, cheers!
Cool stack there, T.U.S.H. No no no single it’s killer, have a great weekend brother Cheers
No no no is on the LP and it has some other similar songs, definitely worth checking out if you havn't heard it, thanks for watching, cheers!
What a stack of killer records, thanks for the shoutout brother Cheers
glad you like em, thanks for watching, cheers!
Great stuff brother, glad you taking the time to do this, we need more punk around here 😆 wanderers it’s a great record and Les Garçon Bouchers definitely carried the oi torch through the 90s hopefully their material would get the wax treatment soon. Have a great weekend Cheers
there's always room for more punk, I'm going to try and do more of these but making the time to do it is my main issue. thanks for watching, cheers!
I just happen to go check your channel and saw this 😮 so much rad stuff all stuff that I love, I’m not familiar with piglet, thank for participating brother Cheers
I sent some demos to a guy on youtube a few years ago and he uploaded it if you want to hear the Piglet tape, its a good one, thanks for watching. th-cam.com/video/Tw1LBDYtpj4/w-d-xo.html
