Southern Breeze (SMC) Ceiling Fan
Today we will be taking a look at this 1990’s SMC ceiling fan. This is a relabeled model under the alias “Southern Breeze”. This particular unit is from 1993. Fan is quiet unless you have the glass on as heard in the video. This is not my fan just hanging it to test. Enjoy.

TRASH FIND!!!! 2000’s Hunter Stratford II Ceiling Fan

This is a backlog from last year. I got this fan out of the trash on a scrap run. The blades were very warped out of whack the light kit was shorted out and missing all the parts so I took the light off the hardware so I have no other way to mount other than JHook. I saw a video of the same fan featured on a channel being serviced and I thought it was a unique bath fan and super rare to find.
I wouldn’t say these are particularly rare… but they definitely are getting harder to find.

The earliest this model was released was May of 2003 because the Stratford II was introduced in said time when they initially introduced the trilobular system
Hi im a fan collector as well and have always had an interest in ceiling fans since I was little. In 2020 I found a Trash find of this same fan but in brushed nickel the blades are a little warped as well as the screws and the light socket on the light kit both look shot. I have tried to clean it up and restore it as well and find the original cap for the bottom of the light kit in another trash find of the same exact fan. I tried to remove the blades today from it and really couldn’t because the screw for each blade that was closest to the motor would not come off. As I was looking at the fab today the blades looked even more warped and I’m really not sure if there is hope for this fan and I really do not want to throw it out because I believe in restoring and using older ceiling fans. Is there any piece of advice that you can give me since you found a trash find of the same fan
Depending on how bad the blades are you could try getting a set online or asking around the fan groups on Facebook. I pressed these all together with vice grips for a while
Thank you for the feedback but how could I test the fan without installing it into the ceiling and possibly permanently affecting the wiring in my house

I'm not familiar with this particular incident, but I'm well aware of the issue overall. There's a severe lack of maturity in many of these groups at this point. It's been on the decline for quite some time now, largely because the community has become flooded with children that are not of age to be on the Internet, and partly because half the adults on the Internet act like children. We're all a little off in one way or another, it's always been extremely disappointing to me that we can't just come together and enjoy the hobbies with kindness and grace as opposed to drama and hate. I appreciate you speaking your mind about the truth, I believe silence is one of the many failures of society today.
I totally agree. I feel like the biggest problem with this community is as you said, the lack of overall maturity, obviously this isn’t everybody, but it seems to be a lot more prevalent now than it was years ago and it’s unfortunate because like I said in the video, this is a community that I feel very passionate about so I’m going to speak my mind about the situation.

I didn’t want to say who any party was cause honestly I just want this nonsense to end. It’s really unfortunate that people can’t allow someone to be a part of the community they enjoy just because they’re different or they like something someone else doesn’t like.
