I watched the merry Scottish Christmas movie this year. I really loved it. When these movies, for Hallmark, became the formula that they are now, I was able to watch them as background to me cooking in the kitchen all day. I can no longer watch most of them now because they are so boring that I want to scream. In the past I have enjoyed Lacy's movies because they make some effort with the writing. Honestly, I think I enjoyed the Scottish movie because of the castle porn. The ending was dumb, the romance was dull, the wife of Scott wolf was terrible but I would have watched more of them learning how to run the estate and maybe there could have been a late December romance with the mom. 3 out of 5.

The only reason I heard about this movie/know about this movie is because Skerryvore had more than one song of theirs end up on the soundtrack. I still haven't watched the film but I've seen Skerryvore at Irish/Celtic festivals a lot so I'm good.

I myself, really like The Ryan Paevey movies and am collecting them. I didn't like his script for this movie. Actually I felt the whole movie was not well planned. If they had left the character of Kat out of the movie and just done the movie about the parents and their son and his romance that would have been a good movie. There's just too much material in this movie. You would think someone in charge would have seen that and made it work better before putting it on film. One other thing Christmas was also not enough in this movie. It just lacked warmth and was not comforting. It's that Christmas Spirit that just wasn't there, we didn't hear about The Son, who's birthday we celebrate at Christmas, we were taught about one of His creations. It's not the same message The Son and the sun.😊

Perhaps this lady should take notes....really forgetting the names of the main characters.I have seen this movie...would watch it again.However this lady should not quit her day job.

The storyline was so bland I feel they didn’t develop fletcher character too good. I didn’t like the Dez guy for her seemed forced. They made her seems so desperate.

Many hallmark winter movies are funny in that your clothes designers must never have been in cold weather.you do not run around outside in low cut formal dresses with a light jacket or sweater on. You don’t stand in a doorway talking with the door open freezing yourselves and the whole house. You don’t run after your lover outside without grabbing your coat and putting it on quickly.when icy you don’t wear high heels or skimpy shoes. I would carry my shoes and change once I got to the dance. My friends and I are very amused.

Pro tip: if u have optimum as your cable service. They offer this thing called “my on-demand” which means you basically get to watch whatever tv content on your own time. They still show ads but if don’t seemlessly better than streaming.

I hated both of the love options. Who writes a slander piece about Christmas in a Hallmark movie? It was a weird angle for just going to a small town and on top of that being in their guest house. But it had it's moments.

Barbara is a great actress and I am a big fan, God bless her and give her his strength and love.

You should watch The Von Trapp Family. It stars Eliza Bennet as the oldest daughter and Matthew Mcfadyen as the father. Both do a wonderful job and its a beautiful movie. I did chuckle at her name- acting alongside a different MrDarcy. 😊 (I watched it on freevee a little while back.)

It took me quite awhile to get through who was who and how they were related, the first few times I watched the different movies. By the way, there is an Academy Award-wining black-n-white movie made in 1940, which is interesting just to see another way the story is portrayed. (There is the constant dilemma of trying to adhere to the book too much or trying to make it relevant to people who do NOT know the period.

Yes. It IS THE VERY BEST Christmas movie I have seen for a long time!!

I agree with you that Tyler Hynes is unbelievably great. He has such charm and charisma about him that he can never make a bad Hallmark movie. He is very talented and handsome. I didn't appreciate this movie as well as his 16 Hallmark movies he has made. He always lights up the screen with his handsomeness and sexy voice. His wardrobe is always great and his beard and hairstyle are perfect. I watch it all the time just to see Tyler. I hope he makes better choices from now on such as a sequel to It Was Always You which was beyond perfect with Erin Krakow.

I love that movie so much, endearing and funny at the same time. When I saw the black and white part, it would have needed a message saying "Do not adjust the TV"

I am so glad you love Tyler Hynes, I too am avid fan of Tyler. I agree with you that no matter what movie he is in he is always great. I love his wonderful voice, his always fantastic beard and current hairstyle. He always has a wonderful wardrobe. His build is great as well. I hope he keeps on making Hallmark movies.

Next Stop, Christmas is a much better Time Travel movie than see you yesterday. If you think you love this time travel movie as much as I do, then you'll hate see you yesterday as much as I do. See you yesterday had a ridiculous sloppy ending to it while this movie had a much better satisfying ending to it than see you yesterday

I agree that it is difficult to believe that the Creator gives a miracle of healing to one and not another. We have lost a daughter at age 18 in a car accident on an icy bridge and our second daughter from cancer last May. I do believe Creator is always with us and know there is suffering in life.

I loved your review! I am also a die-hard fan of Kris Polaha but Meghan Markle is such a bad actress I watched the trailer and couldn't bear it. SO fake ...all she does is pose! Since you also think the storyline is stupid and the other lead actor's character is boring, I think I'll give it a miss! I agree Hallmark missed a great opportunity not having her play a bi-racial character but maybe they didn't want to portray a biracial character as being so dumb! Hope your next movie was more enjoyable. I'll just rewatch "Pearl In Paradise". Thanks!!

What I saw was wonderful. I'm in home healthcare , so as I was taking care of my client , I saw bits and pieces of it. I missed the ending though ! I hope I can watch it sometime on a re-run.

Good movie. Agree about the "feel" of New York City in the 1950s. Such a simple time compared to now (in some ways, of course).

Loved it, I cried I laughed just an emotional roller-coaster 😭 😁
