Megatron is a Gladiator but he's no idiot, he can be persuasive & honest 3:15 - 3:26 Ratchet is stubborn, loyal, but reasonable & not only put respect where it was due on the Decepticons but even cooperated with Shockwave Decepticons are the bad guys but they're not incompetent gurgling demonic thugs like Bayformers. Even Ratchet himself acknowledges their above caliber capacity for innovation. This is why TF PRIME is peak.

Ratchet: "So we know this cybermatter to be produced by an atypical molecular displacement reaction?" Shockwave, internally: "...did he just speak English?"

I love how Shockwave calls him 'Doctor.'

I love this moment if it wasn't because of the war shockwave and ratchet could have been the greatest of friends

3:24 honesty?

3:23 Something about Megatron's flat admittance to what Ratchet accuses is so in character, yet it caught me off guard in the best way. Any other villain would try to deny it, but Megatron knows who he is and what he wants... and he wants everyone to know exactly what that is.

Something I love about the scene is that Megatron doesn't try to lie to Ratchet about his end goal or the value of his assurances. He knows he's holding all the cards, so he tells the truth to Ratchet flat out. Either Ratchet can help restore Cybertron, or their homeworld remains a lifeless husk. It's little details like those that help show Megatron is the leader for more than his strength.

3:22 this is what I love about Prime Megatron. If he’s not lying to your face, he’s beating you down with brutal honesty Ratchet: You’d just conquer Cybertron the seconds it’s resurrected and enslave your enemies. If I remember right, the books elaborate that most Decepticons where heavy laborers like Bulkhead and Wheeljack, Minicons who where often overlooked and fell into hands like Soundwave's, or Military Seekers like Starscream. Lowly workers where shorted the hardest in the caste system, hence how Megatron started in the Gladiator arena to be heard to larger masses of the upper class. When Optimus became a Prime is when they divided who they followed and most chose Megatron because he started the cause, where Orion/Optimus seemed to be an interloper. The Seekers joined them after most of them (Starscream included) where displeased with the political figures they were supposed to protect. It's not a surprise that Decepticons outnumbered Autobots 3-1 and had the upper hand in engineering, it's what many of them did their whole lives, and the miliary seekers where the strategic backbone of most operations, they had the means to take what they wanted where the Autobots did not. Most Autobots were middle class or incredibly young, like Bumblebee (He was born shortly before the war began). The Autobots prioritized the security of Iocon and the Well of Allsparks, as it was one of the only ways they could keep their numbers comparable to Decepticons until the well was poisoned and they were forced to leave the planet to find resources.

You can tell shockwave was enjoying talking to someone who can respond intellectually to his remarks

I love how bluntly honest they made Megatron in this show. He's so maniacally sure of himself that he has no qualms about telling others he will 100% turn on them the moment it becomes advantageous to do so. He's ironically the most "honest" decepticon you will ever meet.

I love every scene in this show with Megatron in it. He is powerful, cunning, callous, but also very smart and brutally honest when needed. He is a leader of the Decepticons for a reason.

Shockwave may have been a con but he was also a scientist. He knew how to be a warrior or a diplomat when needed.

Ratchet really turned Knockout to the light side by just being polite.

As others have said, easily one of, if not the best version of Megatron in all of the continuities in my opinion. It’s awesome to see him convince Ratchet through actual evidence and manipulating him by appealing to his morals, while still being brutally honest. Always loved the “here’s an offer you can’t refuse” tropes in media. Like it’s too good to be true, but then again why refuse? You’re saving your whole species here.
