How come there aren't any holes in it? It's completely flat just like the one you took her out of😮 they need holes actual holes to build a trap doors in so they can hide in them but I am sure by now years later you have learned the difference LOL❤❤❤

Just file the spout on your powder flask until it is the powder volume you want, it would be very fast if you filled your capsules directly off your flask. Cabela's sells spout premade to several weights if you want to go that route, the kit has 4 - 5 spouts in 5 grain increments for a reasonable price. Have fun!

Mine emerged about 5 days ago and I’ve only seen one eating. They seem afraid of the fruit flies. Will they starve?

I make paper cartridges for my colt Walker dragoon and load them with 45 gr.tripple 777 . I make my paper cartridges out of magician flash paper and for the last 35 years I haven't had any problems with them they all fire until occasionally I find a bad percussion cap and that's one bad cap out of maybe 100 . I like my old dragoon it's a power house of a side arm and very accurate

So tiny. They're adorable. Must take FOREVER to care for a single clutch, much less multiples!

I don't know how I found this video and channel. It just showed up on my home page on TH-cam and I am glad it did. I have been using black powder for about 20 years now and know I have a long way to go to feel I know what I am doing. So, thank you. A couple of observations: I saw in other comments that you need to get a flask and measure from that rather than the tube method, it is much faster - and come to it, more convenient. Now, as one dude put it, keep using a steel spoon to level your powder load and we will eventually lose a good TH-camr. No steel. Maybe aluminum but much prefer plastic. If you can find something made of brass even better.

Dealing with Pinhead feeder insects is a royal pain in the ass in regards to baby scorpions. Sometimes baby scorpions will eat pre killed insects but not consistently.

You're not the first to do the straw idea. I used to do it with powder and shot back in the day. Now I use mainly premade paper cartridges kept in flip top plastic vials or boxes with wooden blocks drilled to accept the cartridges. Paper cartridges are a lot more convienient in the field. Keep using a steel spoon for a powder scoop and one day you're gonna go boom. The powder measure is made of brass or plastic for a reason. But, hey, you do you. You got a lot of learning to do, hope you don't have to learn the hard way. Do some research and find out why things are done the way they are.

Dude, is the roach a prekill or did the sling take it down? I have a CDB sling slightly bigger than this and its scared of live, dead, imaginary, and phantoms. Im currently trying a squished Dubia roach. HELP!

Thank you! New jumping spood owner and I JUST found the tiniest sling on my laptop and hoping to keep him too. Been driving all over town trying to find fruit flies for him with no luck. My spood is eating mini mealworms but this tiny sling I found needs fruit flies, so I ordered some online.

I thing I've learned, through error, is that if you kill some fruit flies in the freezer get your colony ready to dispense, pull the container out of the freezer, dump it, and if you're fast you can dump some more in and close it up and the air will still be cold enough they'll slow down immediately and you won't have to put it back in the fridge

If you REALLY want to learn about black powder shooting I highly recommend you go to Guns of the West or Blackie Thomas TH-cam channels. Both are a wealth of knowledge on the subject and they can show you a ton of tricks to help make it easier and faster to load your revolver.
