The family is like a cult and the mum is very controlling, Cleo was totally unprepared for the outside world, very nieve and it shows. I wouldn’t be surprised if her mum set the whole thing up so that Cleo would think the outside world was scary and dangerous and she’d never be tempted to leave home again.
