Very recently I had a Ford F550 with extended towing mirrors pass me on the passenger side and tear off my mirror assembly. I bought & installed a replacement mirror assembly and found the large brightly lit orange blindside area panel on the stock has been replaced by the blindside logo etched on the mirror's glass. It's much dimmer and a step backwards for Subaru.

im new to manual and my subaru has this. its an 09 impreza. is this feature useable when stopped at a light on a hill? i live in the foothills so that would be super helpful.

First thing is called a “hill holder clutch “ and it’s for people that don’t know how to drive properly. You can feel where the friction point is and drive as you should. If you don’t understand this concept then drive a motorcycle to learn. And watch a video showing how the clutch and flywheel are attached. Most people have zero idea how there car actually works

How about making head gaskets that don’t blow.

what if the clamp does not drop down? all 4 of mine won’t come off despite loosening the screws all the way.

So can we keep this feature on during driving or do we have to press the button while on the hill then turn it off while driving?

My cross bars seem to be fixed in length, but the rails are not parallel, so that they will only fit across the rails at one spot, so I really can’t move them forward or backward at all - my options seem to be “on” or “off.” Am I missing something?

What’s the weight that these bars can hold really?

Thank you, I have the exact model but in autumn metallic green .. loving it for the last 18 months .. the performance, all round practicality, comfort, ride quality and tech together with the finance package available at the time made it a no brainer .. wish it wasn’t a CVT but everything else is excellent
