It didn't look too good, to say the least, on my red-blue glasses. I'm really interested in 3D photography and viedeography. I already have an excellent Samsung NX300 with 45/1.8 3D lens. The biggest weakness of this lens is a very narrow angle (45 equals to 67,5mm FF). Unfortunatelly, Samsung didn't manage to produce any other 3D lens before ditching cameras. I was hoping for this lens. Why are you using this tape? I understand, that some cameras don't work with it, but how about those who work? What's the difference?
The only difference is the software interpretation and formatting of the input. In fact I prefer to not have the camera control what gets cropped and let me do that in post. But regardless this is more of a curiosity and probably best suited for macros as there are better 3D camera options.
Excuse me, do you have the image of Jake Justice & chopper in a blister?

I don’t, maybe it can be found with Google image search

@@edenkuro109 sorry I can't find it either

Honestly watching this movie in VR. The 3D looks really good to me.
Great review! On a recent rewatch I realized that Spielberg probably related to the Halliday character a bit, given that Halliday preserves his memories for others to view in a similar way that Spielberg later did with The Fabelmans haha
I bought it when it was release in 2009, about $60 USD. I'm looking for new drivers for Windows 10.
Unfortunately I have no leads on that
@@jonathansabinvarietyfilms Ok, thanks for the reply!
gosh I thought I was the only one who noticed-
What a bizarre move from Acer. Releasing their 3d camera in Taiwan and nowhere else.
and yet they keep teasing it in the states, not sure what the holdup is
That's awesome, I'd love to see a screening from those.
These were the go-to back in the day, but the best source now is Project 4K77 and its successors, which were scanned from unaltered theatrical prints and can be downloaded online
Yes, I found the blu ray format abandoned animated Menus congruent with a film's motifs & also ditched Easter eggs. I'm thinking of the fun menu on ED WOOD's DVD: we're down the aisle with the cinema audience throwing popcorn. ED WOOD blu ray settled for a static menu, so in that sense, in upgrading to blu ray, we settle for less.
Looking good shaved. Like a young Steve Jobs :)
Thanks lol, this is really from 2019, going back to old episodes for shorts
Whipped out my Spy kids glasses thanks Jonathan
I’ve carried a pair in my wallet for many years! 😆 will have to show that another time
This 3D version has become lost media, never to be released on home media format. Amazingly, Episode III in 3D was completed and even premiered at a Star Wars Celebration convention. Maybe someone somewhere owns a theatrical 3D print of Phantom in 35mm? I can't believe these films are just sitting on a shelf...
Modern 3D movies aren’t printed to film, they’re on digital drives which are highly secure based on time and location, so sadly no digital 3D movies have ever been known to leak.
Much better :)
This was really cutting edge stuff. Great video. Surprising results!
Always count on you for the razor sharp wit
I got a safety razor a couple years ago I really enjoyed it. I don't shave often but when I do it's a nice experience.
Thank you for your dedication to our 3d format and moving it forward
Hi, Is the 120hz screen available in 3d mode ? Thanks 👍
No unfortunately
Great video, can’t get Vudu to work on a 2014 Samsung 3D blu ray player, can’t cast to Apple TV get error code very frustrating have many 3D movies from Vudu.
C'mon Acer... release the SpatialLabs Eyes in the US! I'll be getting the Xreal Beam Pro as my Xmas gift from my wife. However, now thinking I might return it without opening it and wait for the Acer since it looks like it will finally be for sale in the US soon... hopefully.
I’m really hoping for more Dreamwork’s movies for Turbine to distribute. The Last Wish, Kung Fu Panda 4 oh and Illumination’s Despicable Me 4 I don’t have any hope for Disney sadly unless Sony does something unexpected with distribution. It’d be nice if Marvel was affordable again. The prices of what we got distributed from Japan on Americas Amazon jolted up again. I have no clue what to expect at this point except to be frustrated with Disney.
Wow you're right, i got the email, but i didnt think that's what they actually meant by taking down Vudu. I can't even download the app on my Samsung 4k 3D tv
OK finally. This time is for real. But Acer's marketing is really confusing isn't it
Well we still don't have a timeline unfortunately, but at least the signs are pointing in the right direction.
19:52 I don’t get much overlap between my love for superhero/comics and 3D. The Fleischer Superman episodes look so amazing in 3D that they sometimes look to look like they were meant to be seen that way all along. I’m so glad to have it and highly recommend it.
19:05 Bumblebee has been on the AVP for some time. Reminds me of Deadpool/Wolverine which was on the AVP a month before people started reporting receiving their discs.
Yup & it's been available as a bootleg from streaming for years, but now people can finally watch it on a home theater in the best quality.
16:20 sorry to hear that. No one around me cares about 3D. If I allowed the social element to stop me, I’d have no AVP…and would still be watching my 3d movies (mostly) alone. Not sure what you mean about there resolution. It’s absolutely incredible watching flicks on the AVP. It’s the best “screen” I’ve ever had. The other advantages are massive. My entirely digital 3D library goes where I go. And I don’t need to lug 3D TV’s around with me or at my relatives’ homes (as I have previously done). I’m away for the holidays but don’t need to be without any Apple 3D title or the ability to view them. That convenience is never mentioned anywhere anyone mentions the AVP (that I have seen).
The AVP is a great display as far as VR viewers go, and I enjoyed using it (except for the comfort aspect, did not enjoy wearing it, & the resolution clarification was explained in the review video). But like I said the big problem here is lack of choice, locking to this type of device for which some people find the cons outweigh the pros. If both were available and the price was reasonable then I might consider using it as mentioned in the video, but even the still prefer projectors/TVs for main use.
8:34 That’s one hell of a workaround. Thanks. My twins’ Roku tv isn’t 3D compatible but its Vudu app remains viable, fwiw. It’s interesting that they disabled the whole app on 3D compatible devices but apparently not on non-3D? I haven’t tested enough to confirm fully. Maybe it’s just that the 3D TV’s are much older and wouldn’t support the kinds of updates Vudu had in-mind.
Thanks for news but I'm looking more forward to hearing news about LG hopefully finally producing new 3D TVs again and hopefully glasses free. I still have my 2 old amazing LG 4K 3D tvs (if they would have been the first 3D TVs released I'm sure they would still produce them because the first years of 3D TVs ruined the market for them - they were awful!). I also have all the best 3D Blu-ray movies ever released but my TVs are around 8 years old now and I fear the day I can't watch my 3D movies anymore. The last year I've also had to buy the few new movies released in Asia because noone releases 3D movies in Europe anymore (I think the last one was Avatar 2). Soon we'll probably only have the Avatar 3D movies to look forward to. This situation will change if 3D TVs are produced again by the likes of LG but from the news I've read and seen this won't happen in 2025. I've been tempted by the 3D TVs ProMa3d.com are making but they're quite expensive and I'm not sure how good they are since I can obviously only watch their descriptions which are rather inadequate and not watch them in a store. So I guess I have to wait probably at least another couple of years for new 3D TVs to hopefully be released and hope my 3D TVs will still work in the meantime.
Thanks for the info 😉
The next Turbine 3D bluray collection will be Scream VI, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem, and Friday the 13th Part 3. It'll probably open for preorder in February.
I found no references to the “Rocket Phone” on eBay, yet.
It’s spelled Rokit
Yt is just showing this to me. I bought that screen protector. At this late date, you may have already seen all the info about it but... Like the other commenter, I can confirm that it offers minimal protection. But mine is still going strong after several months. And it comes with access to some 3D streams of feature films which were never released - probably anywhere, officially. It’s a bit clunky and Josh is working on an app he feels would work better with it but I have no regrets about purchasing mine, even if I don’t use it as much. The cracks I’ve gotten haven’t been too bad. They’re all around the edges and so don’t interfere with movie or photo viewing at all.

Hi Jonathan, I can’t find information about the battery the new Acer camera uses. They mention that you can charge it by the USB port. This gives me the feeling that it is a fixed one. That would be a bummer. End of life of the battery will result in high costs for replacement. Also we have to carry an external power pack with us for the longer sessions. I hope it is replaceable, and it is not an exclusive model, made for this camera only. Sander Kiesel NL
Yes unfortunately it seems to be a built in battery from what I hear.
Hi Jonathan, Wouldn’t it be nice if there were more cameras spread in line with the small stereo base set that are now on the Lume Pad 2. Tablets are wide enough to make nice hyper stereo shots if there is an extra camera on the opposite corner. Of course another one for a 63mm stereo base, and one at the middle of the tablet would make it a dream tablet for us to play with this long awaited choice of stereo base combinations. Even better; one of the lenses sliding on a rail, but I think that this will be more difficult to design, as the lens should move very precise along the rail. Sander Kiesel NL
Yes a variable interaxial 3D camera has been dreamt of by 3D enthusiasts for decades but apart from self made rigs hasn’t been done yet.
Variety Films, your sound quality is the worst on youtube. These built-in camera mics are for scratch audio only. You need to plug in an external mic. Get yourself a cheap Rode it will improve your voice 100%.Put a fur windscreen on it so that your voice is louder than the wind.
While it's nice the 1998 Masterpiece Collection release included the Academy Ratio version, the 1987 Classics collection release often has better colors despite being in pan-and-scan, looking somewhat like a less-sharp version of the restored version used on all home video releases from the Platinum Edition onward.
Calm down bro
Ah, antiphrasis in action.
I got the RFD series and am enjoying it. Glad they finally released all seasons.
I literally just got done rewatching Moana in 3D, infinitely better than the sequel.
