Imagine Dragons, Phoenix, and Beyoncé at Made In America 8/31/13
Three among the many amazing artists that performed at the Made In America music festival in Philadelphia on the Ben Franklin Parkway on August 31, 2013.
My friends and I made our way to the front about a half hour before Imagine Dragons performed and we stood in the same exact spot until the Queen B took the stage around 10:30, so we were there for about four hours. It was so worth it to see these three artists up close, not to mention Dan Reynolds (the vocalist for Imagine Dragons) pointing at me and staring into my soul during It's Time.
I had won two tickets for each day through Philly's Radio 104.5 and I could not be happier that I had the opportunity to go to this amazing festival.

Yes, it's about loss and nostalgia...and I think also how sometimes it's the little tastes and smells from our childhoods that bring back things once forgotten when we happen upon them again. Throughout the years I've heard this song, it's made me feel inconsistent of the kind if genre I like. It's made me feel so hipster, yet when u meet me in real life, I'm like lifeless... it's like this song makes me feel like everything is going to be ok.

Never realized how little sense this song makes till now
It actually makes a lot of sense, the song is one big collapsing relationship. The beginning of the song is almost like he's reminiscing about better times and as the song goes on it starts to seem less coherent as the relationship and reason they are together still becomes that, less coherent. They don't know why they're still together but he is reminiscing trying to find why. Some of the lines are like he's struggling to cope with something I really can't say what it is but it can be assumed his feelings of conflict and whether he loves her or not still. Almost like he's frustrated or she's frustrated. Closer to the end of the song it seems almost like he's trying to find why in his reminiscing is leading him to fall in love again but it's also a slow realization that he's just repeating his past actions. It could be said the song is about a relationship gone bitter but they stuck it out till they grew old and one of them died. The narrator could be looking back at the relationship reminiscing still feeling out of touch with their lost lover but they are or the relationship in question is dead "Lips and teeth that ask how my day went are shooting up through cracks in the pavement"
